You’re a cheeky little sod!

You get your way too much

But who can resist your sweet face?

And all your winning ways?

 

Some days you are my closest friend

Some days you cuddle close

Some days you like to drive me nuts

When you bark & chase the cats…

 

You are my four legged furry friend

Without you, I’d be lost

I’ll always keep you safe with me

No matter what the cost

 

You make me laugh, so very much

You chase me through the house

Sliding across the kitchen tile

As if you glide on ice

 

Every expressive look you give

Tells me you are so much more

Than just a simple Jack Russell Dog

Who almost always walks on fours.

Melanie, this is funny and delightful, expressional poem regarding your jack russle, he sounds like a feisty lil guy, i like the analogy of skidding across the tile floor as if it were ice, slick as a skating ring, and in ways your poem shows how

fun and cartoonish pets can be, and how the lil things in life can create happiness, and simple joys, i like how you expressed your dog's personality, in a way that
