Color me beautiful
Watch me shine
Radiantly intriguing
One of a kind
Infused with hues
Yellows…blues
Greens…whites
Red setting fire to the night
Carbon copy of the perfect tone
Voluptuous breast
High cheek bones
I stand as a woman
A woman that’s proud
And just like my color
My presences is loud
Demanding attention
In every dimension
I sparkle I glisten
Your ears desire to listen
Although I don’t speak
Just simply pose
Satisfying your curiosity
You indulge in my vogue
Swim in my aura
Bask in my being
I AM A WOMAN OF COLOR
No matter which shade you’re seeing

Wow...this is absolutely breathtaking! This was very intriguing down till the last line. I loved the way you described the essence of a BEAUTIFUL woman. It was rhymthic and flowed beautifully like rain off of a deltoid leaf. This was excellent. It made me think of Maya A. poem. Great read!

Nice strong piece...emotive and exclamatory. Well done.
