Good bye

The days I spent with her on my mind.
To a normal person would seem like a life time.
Missing her touch and missing her smell.
Oh! How I wish she would send me some mail.

I open my eyes to a brand new day.
But the joy I feel is smothered by rain.
I guess it's time to move on with life.
But the pain in my heart feels like a sharp knife.

We will always have the times in the past.
But why does this world have to move so fast.
It seems like yesterday you were all mine.
Now I feel lost, scared, and blind.

So I guess I'm saying good-bye for now.
Maybe one day I will pass you in a crowd.
It's hard to say good-bye to someone you used to hold.
But maybe this way I will stop feeling so cold.
