When I die

When I die

A Poem by Steph Michelle

When I die, please don't cry. Just stick me in the ground, six feet deep and lay a tombstone where I rest in peace. Don't even bother with the flowers on my grave, in a day or so they'll blow away. So leave me here, without any tears. Beyond the grave? I have no fears. If you're a close friend, just come again. I don't care much for frilly things, so please just let me wear my jeans. In death, I'd rather be myself, so keep the pictures on the shelves. All I need are a couple memories, everything else can die with me.
