Peaches.

Peaches.

A Poem by Kristie
"

A statement on indifference, I suppose.

"
Humans appear so elegant when they're waking in the drizzle.
They dodge, swerve, and waltz with the falling down pour.
Attempting to stay dry of the inconvenient things in life
but never succeeding in their foolish venture.

Because the Earth has a pre-disposition,
and one that does not hinder to the games of the apathetic.
Those who would rather destroy than
to take time to admire the creation.

We have spoiled the pure atmosphere
because of our indifference and selfishness.
We have set fire to the tree of life
because we like to watch things burn.

Those who love and appreciate,
often turn cold in the dampness.
And suffice to warming themselves
close to the flame.

Author's Note

Kristie
I haven't written in a while, partially due to how busy I've been and partially due to inability. But recently I got the urge and this is the fruit of that impulse.

This is beautiful conscious work. You challenge humanity to make a change for the better. I enjoyed the message. Bravo!

-claps- this captures the selfishness of the human race and how the Earth itself is a rotating innocence. good work.
