Take this as a warning.

There once was a time,
back in two thousand and ten,
when writers still scribed in notebooks
with pens.

There once was a time,
when you didn't have to pay
to see the trees or the animals
and the children were free to play.

There once was a time,
when books were bound with leather.
Not in technological prisons,
where they can be erased altogether.

There once was a time,
when the choruses would sing and chant.
Erupt with great melodies
before the government said, "you can't."

There once was a time,
when an artist could raise this brush,
set up his easel,
creativity was not hushed.

There once was a time,
when the people had it all.
Yet absentmindedly,
they let it all fall.

Goodness...there really was a time for all that right? It really makes you wonder and it's great to see it brought to light this way. It's thought-provoking and yet it doesn't preach, which is really spot on.

I love the simplicity of the format as well. It reminds you that you don't have to over-complicate things to make a point. And it makes the point that much stronger as well.
