Blurred Lines By: Eugene Harvey

Blurred Lines By: Eugene Harvey

A Poem by Stop Racism

Race is a needless remembrance
a man-made burden of dishonor
an imperfect misnomer of men
wherewith we are all subjugated

Race is a faux theoretic phantasy
a subliminal bad seed implanted
intentionally to foster variance
declaring we’re not all the same

Race is a journey of diverseness
of wonderful genetic genealogy
wherein no human is an island
stainless nor forever unashamed

Race is a miraculous mutuality
a habitat of symbiotic meaning
an exploration of commonality
perfected in the human genome

Race is a series of blurred lines
a rainbow of innumerable colors
mingled together in harmony
of life’s promise of co-existence
