Later in time part 1A Story by Stone_YoungA kid decides that enough is enough he is tiered of all the crime in the world. He is going to do something about it.The bumps in the road rock the car like a ship at sea in the middle of a storm. The windows but I was still sweating. The smell of sweet oranges was strong as we speed past an orchard. In the distance there was an old rusty sign that was falling apart it read “Betty's diner” it was an old diner that was run down with boards against all of the windows and graffiti painted on most of the building. I'm glad we passed the diner I never wanted to see it again, it gave me chills. After what felt like hours we finally pulled into a driveway. I rubbed my eyes and looked at where we stopped it was an old motel with a rotting roof that looks like it's been there for a hundred years. “Why are we stopping here?” I asked my mom who was driving “We are not that far from the next stop we are gonna stop here for a day or so” she replied There were two men talking to each other on the curb right out my door. They looked like they just escaped prison one of them was wearing a leather jacket with sunglasses and short spiky messy brown hair. The other one was wearing a Bandana over his face and I couldn't see much of him because the sun was in my eyes. I popped open my door and started to get out. It felt so good to finally get out of the car for once and stretch. My mom jumped out of the car and we started walking to the door of the office. The door opened with a squeak and the office smelled like bleach. I was having trouble breathing as I walked in. The man behind the desk was a large man with a shirt that had crumbs and stains on it that looked like he hasn't changed it in months. My mom walked up and started talking to him and I decided I better wait outside if I didn't want to die of lack of oxygen. I opened the door ad sat on the stairs. Nearly half an hour later she walked out with keys to our room. “2b” she called We walked upstairs and unlocked the door to our room. The door wouldn't budge when she tried to open it. I tried and the I rammed it with my shoulder it opened and I feel on to the floor right next to a stain on the floor. I pushed myself up and brushed my shirt off. We got changed and started to bed. There was a scream that woke me up. I checked the time it was midnight. I peeked out the shades and saw a man and a woman standing in the parking lot. The man had his arm extended and was pointing a gun at her. What is happening? Robbery? I didn't know. I jumped off the bed quickly ran and grabbed a jacket threw on some shoes. Very slowly I opened the door. I ran out of the room, down the stairs, and quietly hid behind a car. My heart was beating so hard it felt like someone was playing drums. © 2017 Stone_YoungAuthor's Note
