I head on my journey with only in my hand,
The Holy Bible so I won't lose my stand,
I follow the road lurking in front of me,
To travel the world and to see its endless beauty,
I wanted to adventure out,
And really see what this world is about,
So this is the record of what I've seen.
I've seen illusions of what people thought was happiness,
In doing evil deeds and thinking the world's way was bliss,
I've seen people who were impregnated in their teens,
And try to hide this secret by any means,
I've seen people who believe they are overweight,
Making themselves starve and vomit, believing their figure is not too great,
I've seen people who appear to care and want to be your friend,
Only to stab you in the back, and hurt you in the end,
I've seen people who slice themselves to deal with pain,
Unable to stare at themselves in the mirror without crying and screaming in
vain,
I've seen people who try to avoid life,
By using drugs and alcohol as their only strife,
I've seen people who are racially segregated against,
Because their culture and sex doesn't meet the world's requirements,
I've seen people steal from another,
Mugging and attacking their fellow brothers,
I've seen people full of greed,
Thinking money is their only need,
I've seen people being slaughtered,
Murdering
without thinking of their sons or daughters.
But, as I head deeper down this path,
I become entangled in this world's evil wrath,
And I lose myself in this dark road,
And I start reaping what I've sowed,
But then I remember, Jesus Christ,
How even in this evil world, he became its only light,
Even though I've seen all this wickedness and derange,
Through Jesus Christ, in this world, I've seen change.
