The Final Decision (NEW)A Poem by Li LiFor the first time in ages
I sense darkness inside... Through all the filled pages Emotional phrases Lyrical praises I feel these thoughts of destruction from within Pushing violently against my skin Wanting to flow as freely as the ink that I proudly place on display Words can only say so much until the touch must be felt We are all dealt times when we must decide The right direction to turn Afterwards, given moments we yearn for more than we receive... It's up to us to relieve the mind Look past what can deceive confined sensations False expectations Lead to lost relations As complications begin to disconnect the constellations Which once lined up giving a forecast Of the beginning to what's becoming the end Even though we try to mend what we see being broken Not enough words can be spoken to relieve the fears As they slowly evolve into tears Eventually, all things will become lost They say one must pay the cost for their actions They fail to tell us what comes after each transaction I believe the moment comes when one must walk away Take what they once portrayed as truth To produce a new reality from what they used to envision The day they must make That final decision © 2008 Li LiReviews
