In Love with a Boy

Simple thoughts

I'm in love with a Boy.

I know people will say that

we are too young to know

what love is.

But then

If we don't know

How could we love our families?

 

I don't know...All I know is

I'm In love with a Boy.

A boy who is almost a man

and me, feeling like a child,

next to his superior soul.

So small I seem...

 

I wonder why God has

warned me against him?

He is perfect in everyway.

Maybe that's why!

 Maybe it's too good to be true

and  one day I will

be destroyed because of it.

Well..it could happen...

 

I sigh now because

Even though I am Gods child

and I go to Him, my father,

for guidance,

Right now, I don't think I care

because,

I'm In love with this Boy

and

My heart is there to stay.

Just simple thoughts I had and was able to get on paper...

I think this poem tackles a very interesting issue for me. In society, when lovers are young, they tend to put the "puppy love" label on it. This poem captures that for me. Good write.

More of a spoken words prose piece. Out should be our in the first stanza. Word of advice: Never place your souls beneath that of another person. We are all equal in the eyes of our creator. If a true warning has been made against him listen to its intricacies and decide how valid it is, often times it could mean something. One last thing I think that "Gods child" in the last stanza should be possessive. I like the poems roots, and I think as you grow so will it.
