Learning

Learning

A Poem by Moonbeam Rose

You call yourself Master

Yet I see you when it suits you

You call me your apprentice

What a joy that is to me

Teach me all you know

Let the words just flow

Teach me to be free

From others wants and deeds

Show me how to live on my own

With not a thing from outsiders

I wish to learn all of this

And, oh so much more

Teach me to be one

Of the great ones

Teach me not to fall

I will not fail you

Set the target high

I'm willing to burn

Willing to die

Just to be by your side

Oh Master, my only Master

Teach me what's inside of myself

Bring me to myself

Loved it.
"You call yourself Master
Yet I see you when it suits you"

These lines at the beginning give it a different connotation. Without them, I get an eagerness of innocence, but these lines echo something negative. I'd like to hear more about this side.
