Jaina rached the house a few minutes later, unlocking the front door she walked in. Heading for her room she heard voices in Jacen's room as she passed it. Stopping for a moment she smiled. It was good that Jacen had finally gotten over the loss of his best friend. Tenel Ka was the only girl that Jacen had ever had his heart set on until recently. She'd been missing for a little over two years. The first year was hard on him. Jaina sighed as she walked to her room and remembered that year.
Jacen would bearly eat and didn't sleep. He got really sick and was so distraught that he even broke the mental link that he shared with herself. She opened the door to her room and placed the gift on the table as she walked towards her desk and sat looking at the holocube in front of her. It flashed with pictures of Tenel Ka, Jacen, Lowie, Zekk and herself all at the old Jedi Academy on Yavin 4. She smiled softly as the pictures changed. Next was a picture of Jagged Fel and herself after one of the Vong attacks. She was smiling up at him softly.
"Was I ever in love with him?" She asked herself as the pitcures changed yet again this time showing her and Kyp laughing just in front of the Falcon. She sighed as the pictures moved on to a newer one of Jacen, Anakin and herself. "By the force look at how we've all grown." She said as she noticed that Jacen's eyes held more wisdom in them than when they were kids at the academy. Anakin was the spitting image of their grandfather, the late Anakin Skywalker. Jaina, herself on the other hand, well she looked just like her mother, Leia. Right down to the smile, the only diffrence was the hair. Jaina's wasn't long enough.
Actually she hated having long hair. Her mothers was to her knees. Jaina had tried to get away with cutting her's to her shoulders but her mother asked her kindly not to, so to the butt it was.
The door to her room opened up and Kyp walked in smiling at her. "Hey beautiful, what's up?" He asked as he walked up behind her and held her. She tried to pull away from him but he wouldn't let go. "Kyp, don't you ever knock? Let me go!" She said harshly as she pulled away again.
Kyp lowered his face to hers and pressed his lips against hers. The kiss was meant to be nice but Jaina just wasn't in the mood for him or for this. She pulled her hand back and slapped him across the face hard enought that she left a perfect imprint of her hand behind on his cheek. "Back off!" She warned as she stood up and walked over to the door. She pulled it open and found Jacen and Anakin staning there.
"Um...hi." Anakin said sheepishly. Jacen looked from Kyp's red cheek to Jaina's angry face and said. "Hey Kyp I think my dad was calling you. you might want to go see what he wants." Kyp nodded, his eyes never leaving Jaina's face as he walked out of the room.
"What was that all about?" Anakin asked after Kyp was down the stairs. Jaina walked over to her bed and sat down on the edge. "I don't know what's gotten into him lately. First her attacks some guy on the street then calls me his girlfriend and now this? What's his problem?" Jaina looked at both her brothers and sighed.
"Jai, maybe he's still in love with you." Jacen said calmly. "Jace, if he was in love with me then he'd leave me alone until I was ready for him. Not force himself at me ever chance he gets." Jaina smiled weakly as she looked at Anakin. "What's up bro? Long time no see." She laughed.
Anakin nodded. "Yeah, I just got back this morrning and was only sitting at the table when Jace and mom were fighting abou the roses, but yeah I guess that's a long time." He walked over and hugged Jaina tightly. "So, you wanna talk about what's wrong with you and Kyp? Why the break up? I thought everything was cool with you two."
Jaina sighed as she looked from one brother to the other. "Okay midget sit down and I'll tell you everything."
