Chapter One

With a soft sigh Jaina awoke, the sun hitting her in the face as she sat up in her soft bed. Looking around her room she smiled softly. "It was only a dream." She said as she got out of bed and slipped on her robe and slippers. Stopping before her mirror she ran a brush through her long brown hair and smiled at her reflections. She had the brightest brandy brown eyes and a nice smile to greet nearly everyone she cared for. Today in fact this smile wouldn't even show itself for her best friend. She shook her head as someone knocked at her door. "Come in!" She called.

The door opened up on her twin brother Jacen. He was smiling at her as he walked in and hugged her. "Hey sis, how are you today?"

She smiled at him and let him hug her. "Other than the fact that my heart is broken I'm ok." She said softly as she pulled away and walked to her closet. She pulled out a pain of black pants and a light gray shirt.

Jacen nodded then walked out of the room. "Hey catch up with me downstairs will you?" Jaina waved her hand and nodded as he walked out of the room.

Taking off her robe and nightgown she changed quickly into her fresh cloths, then picked up her bag and lightsaber and ran down the stairs to see her brothers.

She had just reached the last stair when the doorbell went off. She walked over and answered it. Opening the door she saw the last person she wanted to see.

"Hey Jaina." Kyp Durron said happily as he looked down at her, his eyes still full of love for her. She shut her eyes and sighed heavily. "What do you want Kyp? I thought when I told you it was over that you'd get it in your head I didn't want to see you anymore."

Kyp stood there looking at her, his heart was still burning for her. "You love beautiful today Jaina." he smiled softly at her. "Would you happen to be doing anything today? I wanted to see if you'd like to come with me to the beach."

Jaina sighed heavily as she started to close the door. "No, Kyp I would not like to join you on the beach I have plans." She had just about gotten the door shut when her dad walked up and called. "Kyp, great to see you again. Come on in."

Jaina rolled her eyes as she walked towards the kitchen to catch up with Jacen. He was sitting at the table talking to their mother about a new plant that he wanted in his room. "Jacen, honey you don't have anymore room for anything else much less a plant."

"But mom, please....it's just a Corellian rose bush. How much room could it possibly take up?" Leia Solo looked at her son then smiled lovingly. "Alright already you can have it. I'll pick one up for you later sweetheart."

Jaina laughed as she sat down on the oppissit side of the table from Kyp. She couldn't believe her father. With a heavily sigh she started eating her toast and drinking her coffee. She looked up to see Kyp watching her as she ate. Finally finished she got up and looked at Jacen. "I'll see you later ok. I've got somethings to do first." With that she walked out of the room and the house.

She was just walking down the street when she ran into the guy. "Oh my I'm so sorry. Did I hurt you?" She asked. He man looked up at her with the most beautiful flaming brown eyes Jaina had ever seen. He smiled at her and said in a soft voice. "No, but did I hurt you my dear?"

Jaina shook her head since she was speachless. She was just about to say something when Kyp came out of nowhere and grabed the man by the collar of his shirt. "Who do you think you are talking to my girlfriend like that buddy."

Jaina grabed Kyp's arm pulling at it. "Kyp, back off! It was my fault I hit him!" She tried to pull at him, then feel to the ground as Kyp's arm shot back to hit her square in the face.

The man tossed Kyp off him easily then knelt by Jaina's side. "Are you alright?" He asked softly as he helped her to her feet. Jaina wipped at her face and noticed the blood on her arm. She nodded her head. "Yeah, I'm fine.. Excuse me." Turning on her heels she took off at a dead run heading as far away from Kyp as she would get.

"He hit me!" She screamd when she finally stoped runing about a block later. "That nurfhearder actually hit me!" She slumped down against the wall of a building and sighed as she wiped at the blood on her face. "Oh he'll pay for this. What a jerk saying I'm his girlfriend. I broke up with him. That really fries my blaster." She shakes her head as she gets up and walks down the road towards the market where she was going to pick up her father's birthday gift. It had to be really speacial, and there was not better place to get something out of this galaxy than at the Corell Mall.
