SanityA Poem by Moonbeam RoseI hear the doors shut behind me. The doors to the outside world that now hide me They keep me locked in my cell Keep me locked away from the world outside
I sit here in the darkness and try not to scream The voices I hear should just be a dream They scream and yell at me Keeping me awake in the dark.
I force them all back Down into the pits of my soul I fight to keep my sanity Though the more I think about it, I wonder what for.
I'm wasting away slowly In the loss of my mine Darkness is eatting me up Finally I realize my life is not my own. © 2008 Moonbeam RoseReviews
