The Forgotten

The Forgotten

A Poem by Nichole Marie
"

The truth about the ones who say they're your friends.

"
I stand in front of you

You see right through me.

I speak words in your direction,

but they never reach your ears

I know what I want to believe.

I know what I should believe.

But the line between actions and words have been blurred

with every contradictive hypocrytical move that you make

and word that you say.

You're being watched with eyes that never see you

You're being heard with ears the can't recall what you sound like

You are being forgotten

And the forgotten has lost you.
