Human Nature

Human Nature

A Poem by Matthew D. Ford

Did I say something wrong?
Did I do something to offend you?

Well, if I did, why should I apologize?
Why should I beg on my knees for your bloody forgiveness?

Do you really think that you deserve to step over people?
To believe that you are always right?
To believe that I should have pity on you?
To believe that you're bigger than me?

Well, Oops! I did it again
I didn't I can't talk about you
About sex and deviants
About murderers and liars
About religion and the world

Believe it or not, it's all human nature
The sinful Earth has no control over what it does
What it has
No one is sinless
No one has never done anything wrong

So, I'm not your w***e
They're not your w****s
You can't judge me

I do what I want...
...It's Human Nature

Author's Note

Matthew D. Ford
I'm one of those people who do what I want and don't care what people think. Besides, I was listening to Madonna's "Human Nature" song live in concert online, and it got stuck in my head. So, the poem was born.
