Neon Dreams and Late Night RegretsA Poem by Domenick
Rain drops on the metal roof,
A door closes and tires roll away, What a wonderful night we'll have. Footsteps on concrete on empty streets, Dancing to music no one else hears, Living like no one is watching. Down metal stairs and through the noise, Drinks and smoke around, But only one thing is on your mind, Out a back door back into the world. Leaning on each other, Smiles and laughs in the air, Looks and touches speaking more than any words. A moment of closeness, The buzzing of neon and the beating of hearts, Hot breath and cold lips. Rain drops on the metal roof, A door closes and tires roll away, What a wonderful night we had. © 2022 DomenickAuthor's Note
