Lights.

Lights.

A Poem by Stevvy Hopson

What a world I had left behind.
The people I knew,
Like the diner lights that would blink
As time passed,
I found I barely knew them.
Now that something new is happening to me
They lash out,
The lights spark,
My world Had one blinking light.
She assured me she'd stay,
But she went out two years ago.
The rest stay angry,
Separate.
I'm sad and lonely.
So I flew into the sun.
There I am happy.
There I will give birth to my twins.
