PerfectA Poem by Stevvy Hopson
What is it about your soft, slow breathing that makes my heart beat in rhythm to it?
How did your fingers get tangled with mine? The warm embrace of your hand on my navel, Your broad shoulders leaning towards me, What do you see behind your eyelids? Do you feel my touch as I trace your relaxed face? How have I become so fortunate to lay beside you? I wish to slumber, But being here already feels like a dream, One so sweet and simple, Like things out of books, Yet I have it right beside me. The most perfect person to call my own. How I wait for you to open your diamond eyes and smile at me. © 2014 Stevvy Hopson |
