Moss Eccles Tarn

A short poem about the recent visit my wife and I paid to one of the most beautiful little lakes in the English Lake District.

Heavenly spot among green fields
And skies impossibly bright
A tranquil mirror stillness
Reflecting cumulonimbus white

Silence around nature's wonder
Broken only by blackbird's shrill cry
Life's momentary glimpse of perfection
For two strangers just passing by
