The End

The End

A Chapter by Stevie McGhoul

I turned back to the fat, lazy man. He called out loudly for assistance and looked angerly at us. I smiled wider. “They’re coming, don’t worry. Give them time.
“What do you mean?” he asked with fear precipitating through his words.
“Here they come” I added as thunderous thumps of boots rushed up the stairs. “I’ve seen enough death to last a lifetime. Rain, let’s go downstairs okay?” she nodded. After we left the door a swarm of 50 or 60 nude people rushed past with weapons drawn. They entered and filled the room around the elite and took their own independent revenge. In seconds his whole body was a pulp on the floor. My last command was “Live your life by your own choice.”

Rain and I walked back to the super plus. It took a week and a half and we got lost along the way.
I’m twenty eight now.
I still write my fifty words per year. Rain and I get along. Still is a welcomed guest, after a lot of lecturing.
Dear reader. This is where I will end the story. What’s to come is something I can only speculate. Worms are free. People are free. And home feels like home again.
Thank you for reading.
