TAYLONE`S the story unfolds.

Ch-1.     The story unfolds.         (A award wining author.)
We enter the story where Taylone is beside the house next to a dirt road that passes his house and he is chopping wood for his father.  When he is finished he walks around the front of the house on the porch and enters the house ,I have finished the wood father. Very good please wait by the front door the elders are about to arrive. The alder's are coming here today ,yes they are ,now be respectful Taylone this is a very important meeting. Yes father was Taylon's reply as he waited by the door soon there was a knock and he opened it and heard a familiar voice, good day elfling Taylone. And good day to you too Elder. as he passed Taylone bowed in respect for this was one of the city leaders. Good day Edmond, Edmond was the father of Taylor he was not an elder but he is well respected within the community and he bowed and said good day Elder laycean. Please everyone be seated there was a long wooden table with benches ,this was the main dining hall  just off of the entrance to the home. All the elders carried a staff as a sign of their place in the community and also their leadership as the alders seated themselves around the table Edmund asked his son Taylone  to wait outside for you see elflings were not allowed in important meetings or in the council rooms when decisions were made. Taylone  exited the door and closed it but the  to be left out of important information he would not have this so he ran around the side of the house where he was chopping wood which was an Alcove and he would not be seen and the window was open so he sat underneath the window to listen to the meeting. Edmund has served the city of light for many many years and the elders knew him well, Edmund and their eyes held a high status but he was not an elder . Edmund with a few of the followers from the community protected the city of light and from those who would want to take it away from them, they lived in the dark regions of the land and worship pagan rights and serve the forces of Darkness. as Elder Laycean stood,he begin to talk in a heavy voice, his news was not good.There were nine elders but laycean was the chair person and was consider the voice of the council. We the council  have called this meeting becouse of a letter I received last night by special couror.  You better take a look at this ,as Laycean produce a paper out of his vest he handed it to Edmond it was a parchment with a red seal.Toogarian stood and spoke,as Edmond opin the letter,the elder spoke Lord Henshaw has mayed a demand on the city of light.Edmond layed the parchment on the table as Layceain contenue,as it may be we need to make a decision  on this the pepole will demand it.The look on Edmonds face sead it all as the nine elders look on.Taylone could not see the parchment from his position but knew what one was.He new from what Toogarein sead that it was an ultimatum  from lord Henshaw for the complete surrender of the city of light.he had herd of Henshaw before from his father,he lived in a dark Castle in the far reaches  of the badlands with a large army. Edmund rubbed his chin for a moment before he spoke . seems Henshaw is quite serious about this. The question is what do we do now. Toogarian which was still standing spoke up and said I'm sure that he's not going to wait for a long for an answer. From what I have gathered his information comes from here in the city of light from who and where we do not know but we are sure of it. Layceon  spoke next well I guess there's nothing we can do about that right now but as for the other, shaw will require an answer. Elder Ronal stood and spoke next there might be a way in which we can save the city of light but the information is sparse and we do not know where this secret icon is or where it is located. Edmund spoke and said what icon is this? Elder ronal  said there used to be an icon that opened a special doorway into the other Realm of the dragons it has been lost to the ages that is why there are no dragons here today to protect the city of light. None of us have ever seen it so there is a question whether it even exists. The ancient Scrolls only speak of it as being located in the belly of Spike Canyon. It has been handed down over the eons and is now part of our lore even though we do not know the location of it . This has been lost through the years. Edmond if this icon is ever found by Hen Shaw and opens the doors to the dragons Realm without the proper words he would unleash a horrible death upon us all including himself and his army he is not aware of this but the dragons have a bond with us and only these special words will reawaken this Bond and they will protect us but oping  that door without the special words the dragons and they are many from what the ancient Scrolls have said will destroy us. will you undertake the journey to find the icon and opin the lost door to the dragons?If I can find this icon,do we have any more information on the valley. All Scrolls say there's a Rocky Valley where nothing grows and to this day for a very long time nothing , no one seems to know why. Chorus spoke up next as if to confirm everyone's suspicion the dragons have no favor outside the sacried words and once released they would destroy everything and burn it. hopefully that will not be this case my friend , outside the open windowTaylone was in deep thought so this is Henshaw demands he wants to take over the lands rod by using the dragons and if he breaks the seal without the proper words the dragons would destroy everything my father once told me, The Legend said that if they are released without the proper words they will and live directly off the energy of Souls but are  Guided by them but if release without the words they would do nothing more than be dragons who will eat and burn everything and Shaw can't be thinking of just doing what he wants to destroy himself in his army too . Not  even the elders knew where the cave of souls were located this could be bad if they can't meet henshaw's demands he will bring his army down on the city of light and if he tries to open the cave of Souls without the proper words the dragons will destroy everyone including Henshaw and his army,  Taylor was broken out of deep thought when he heard one of the elders start to speak again it was Elder Baines this time who was speaking. I have been to this Valley through it and it's the same all the way through it it's nothing but rocks and boulders I'm sorry to say my friends the whole area looks as if nothing will grow in it and we do not know where the front of the cave of soles is. we're at a loss to the lands Rod all this time the whereabouts was lost during the casting Wars and no one not even the records have the exact position of this cave , Henshaw would not be so bold as to make this demand if he didn't know where the site was. Edmund spoke up and if he is hoping we will lead him to the thinking , we have the icon he doesn't know that we don't have it. Eder laycean stood up an  said any case we have to make a decision of course of action to take I think for the moment we should wait and see what he will do we can always plead with him explaining we do not know the location we will see what he has to offer ,a murmur went through the elders and everyone agreed this was what they would do . As the elders got up from the table and started filing out the door they were talking as they walked. Toogairin caught up with layceain and tapped him on the shoulder I've always trusted in you and Edmund but if we wait too long Henshaw will attack and that would be a disastrous thing for the city of light .  Toogairin was thinking out loud and he said you and Edmund have served the city of light for a long time and you know the risk you're taking by waiting to long.Layceain said yes don't worry was this answer good day my friend  to Toogairin and walked out the door as the rest of the elders walked out the door and paid their respects . Edmond closed the door and then leaned against it and a long breath escaped his lips and he said I hope they know what they're doing. Outside too the two elders stop  by the corner of the house to talk what they didn't know is that their conversation interest the ears of a young elfing. The Alcove hid Taylone and they could not see him. As they were talking one of them said they don't know where the icon is and where the souls of light are  yes and all this time everyone thinks they have this information. This needs to reach henshaw right away if he is  to take the city of light he must know that they have nothing to offer yes if we're going to survive we must be on the right side I for one don't want to be here when Henshaw releases his army on the city relax we won't be when he kills all the elders trying to find out what they don't know we can take over their lead of the city. We'll leave in the morning to tell him we are coming over to the dark side the two shook hands and walked off talking and laughing like there was nothing going on Taylone on on the other hand stood up and glanced sideways at the two Elders walking off and was Therese and Galore what he just heard they'll destroy the city for their own grede my father and the elders would never believe me if I told them this it's a dungeon offense to accuse an elder of such an accusation for if they are chosen by the highest Elders to lead the city they hold the position of trust. Taylone picked up an ax he was using and slammed it down on a piece of wood on the Block and cleanly split it into as he watched the pieces flying off in two directions ,I won't allow the city of light I grew up in to be destroyed. Not by those deceiving Elders or Henshaw. Taylone looked back at the direction of the two Elders had taken with his teeth grimacing he said you will regret your treasion into the city of light and the fact that I overheard your conversation. May the Guardian of the Dragons of light Prevail against you and all for if they don't I will. Just then three pieces of wood floated to a foot off the ground around Taylone and crumbled to sand and fell to the ground for Taylone did not notice this and place the ax in The Chopping Block once again. Just then holding a drink in one hand and a sandwich and the other came Walking In to View at the end of the path that would lead him straight past Taylone Hi taylon he yelled smiled who knew right away this was one of his longtime friends was coming towards him. For here was the site for anyone to behold bartho was rather large for his age and as tall as Taylone and he always wore his Sandy hair back in a ponytail with his vest of many pockets and usually all of them were filled overflowing with food he was indeed a sight to behold. I see your eating again .Hey I got to keep up my strength don't I haha. Well I suppose my friend. You see Bartho  was big at Birth and it never slowed him down for such a big person he could move with surprising speed and not be out of breath. How are you. I'm fit as a fiddle and just as handsome. Taylone upon hearing this ,so I've heard from the ladies at the store. As with always they shook hands it was their custom upon meeting each other. Come sit with me I have an errand for you to do. As they went around to the front of the house there was a wooden table with benches his father had built sometime ago. So as I sat down Bartho  said so what can I do for my friend today. This is important bartho you must gather all the elflins and have them at the meeting Hall tonight I have some disturbing news to tell them and we must work together on this. Bartho reply this sounds very serious. Yes I'm afraid this time it is. You can count on me was bartho's answer I will get everyone there and at our regular time of the Elfin meetings. Thank you bartho I know I could count on you. Anything else. Not right now but later there will be as things come up. Are you alright  you look like you're a little off today. I'm all right just make sure everyone else is there tonight, this is important  our the lands Rod is in very great Danger and we will have to do what is needed to be done. What about  the elders,  I'll explain tonight so you better get going okay I'll see you tonight, Bartho says right as he waddled off to do his chore that Taylone  asked him to do. For years now Taylone and his close friends had a secret meeting place in a large cave only known to them and their secret was Kept Secret by all the children of the Lands rods,  Taylone valued all life not just elfin`s,  he took care along with his friends all the children who were orphans ,for the city of light did not do this and Taylone always thought bad about this. Taylone`s mother had been gone since he was very young and he had little memory of her and with his dad's responsibilities Taylone grew up and matured at a young age but more than that Taylone was different than most boys his age and he knew it. He wasn't sure what it was that just made him different inside but now he was 18 there was a change taking place and it was more than just growing up. It was on the nature of magic or some major difference for an elfling he would soon find out his Destiny was about to make itself known. He tried very hard to keep his mind and his matters to himself for if the others knew they might distance themselves from him for being different. But now it  wasn't the time to worry about such things for now a meeting  had to be held tonight and he had to figure out how he was going to tell everyone the lands Rod could be destroyed along with the city of light. CHAPTER TWO/ the meeting of the efflings.
The word went out and the meeting would be held early enough so that all the children of all ages could attend it was after all the future of the lands rod and none of them would miss this event and even so they honored taylon as their leader and if he said it was important then none of them would dare miss it. All elfings had gathered some inside the cave some just outside the entrance to the big cave. The Torches had been lite and the center of the cave  there was a makeshift long table that everyone in front sat down on woven mats. This cave was in  hard times a place of sanctuary for the young children who  were left as orphans by War or by some other means Taylone with his Core group had taken care of them when no one else would. In this Shaylin was the unofficial girlfriend of taylone that everyone knew but they weren't talking about it . Taylone and his long time friend and tennis and wiring elfings that was he trusted as a helper in all that he did for the lands rod in a unofficial way of course. Kias a newcomer to the core that no one really knew about except Taylone and he wasn't talking. The time had arrived for the meeting and to Shay surprise Taylone  came into view wearing a ceremony rope that only elders wore . As he  past Shaylin  she reached out and held his arm. She whispered what are you doing if you're caught with that robe you could be banished from the city of worse sent  to the dungeons. It's okay I saw an elder throw it away he was wearing his new one. Still you can't be seen in one. Tonight and from now on I am the Elder of all the children for tonight what I have to say will change all our lives he gave her a glance  that said let go of his arm and she knew better than to argue with him. She stepped back and said as you wish my lord. Taylone  caressed her cheak said it's okay , Shay smiled and said don't let it go to your head. He smiled back and walked on, this was a  important night for him for he was taking on something bigger than himself. She bowed her head as a sign to all it was a matter of respect. All the others who saw Taylone  in the robe  had a big lump in there throats for they knew this must be important for Taylone to take such a risk. Taylone  walk like he had never walked into a meeting and stood as tall as his skinny figure could allow and went to the head of the table. Shaylin was right after him followed by the rest. She asked everyone to be seated and Taylone  Sat before them. Tonight I have called All To  discuss the matter of the threat to the lands rod and the City of light. I will tell you of the events that have happened up till now. But first we will sing the song of safia to honor our history. All nodded as this was a secret right performed by the city Elders at a special meeting but there was one thing missing the rest of the song was lost to the eons of time. But not to Taylone  tonight's something felt different inside him and he wanted to sing the song. So he began to sing with a remarkable voice that filled the entire cave but to their surprise he was singing all the song with Shay noticed he was singing the song in its entirety. Then a wondrous thing happened a blue light emitted from Taylone fill the cave to every corner. He had tapped into some ancient power that no one here knew he had not even himself. When Taylone was done and opened his eyes for he had them shut for the song was deeply religious to him and meant a lot to him he noticed that everyone including Shay was over by the opposite wall. He was still glowing brightly when he spoke. It's okay my friends please be seated and I will explain. As the light dissipated all the children sat back down some of them with their mouth still open and amazement. She walked over and sat down next to Taylone and whispered what's going on. Taylone  just smile and said we  will talk later. You see the song was not elfin or human it was a gift a long ago given by The ethereals Who Lived in their far reaches of the clouds where they were not considered God's but were higher beings than man or elfin. For the next hour Taylone told all that he knew and herd and to a captive audience he continued and everyone just sat there for their world was going to be destroyed and not even the nine Elders knew what to do about it. But Taylone assure them he had a plan and we will  do what we can for the city of light.Taylone ended the meeting by making sure all went on and had been heard was strictly kept a secret for to let them know there was spies out there from henshaw. They all had agreed to keep this a secret and stay quiet. He instructed them all to keep their ears open and to see anything unusual they were to let him know or to let his Core Group know immediately for all this information might be important. Of all be silent and safe. As they all filed out of the Cave the Torches were extinguished and Taylone stood by the entrance with Shay bartho and tanis and kayus for this was the core group of all the efflings. Bartho asked so what do you want us to do ? I have specific missions for all of you and the information you gather will be very important as to how we will proceed. Kayas go to the Great Hall and find out as much as possible about The Souls of light and Lord Henshaw. He replied on my way and Kyle's wave goodbye to all is he hurried on. Bartho and Shea I will be gone for a while keep everything in order while I'm away. You can count on us was  their reply . Tanies I have a rather difficult mission for you I don't deal out this lightly but nonetheless it must be done. Your special skills will be needed here. I thought we were going to keep that a secret. The city and I have need of you. Then I'm at your command my lord. This is a very dangerous and I hate to ask it of you. Ask me what you will. go to the baron lands castle and see what Henshaw is really up to. A so my frind i need you to get a book of dark majic from the highies tower . what's so special about this book? It is to release my mother from the tall dark Crystals at the South entrance to the city she's being held captive in there and the Book of Magic the dark magic is the only thing that can release her.  listen all you we don't know who else is a spy for Henshaw so be careful act like nothing is up and be yourself. A nod of agreement was noted and they all walked off except for Talone and Shealin what are you going to tell your father. Nothing for the moment the less he knows about  what's going on the better . He and the elders would rather have their hands full and must abide by their own decisions as to what to do for now and then by doing nothing they endanger all of us. They're willing to wait and see what Henshaw will do and that is a great mistake. I can feel it deep down inside there's something that isn't right. Where are you going may I ask ,I half to see glasscearion  right away. You know it's rumor he eat kids like us. Taylone  laughed and said I'll be careful I promise. With that Shay reach up and kissed him on the cheek as was their custom and Taylone placed his hand on her cheek and she laid her head in his hand and closed her eyes. Taylone reached out and whispered my lady. She then opened her eyes and ask that light do you think it's the  time for accesion ? He thought somehow I don't think so ,it's deep inside me and something else is Awakening. I've never felt this way before. Taylone looked at Shay's eyes and asked out of blue. Why have you been so attentive and stuck with me all these years. Surely an eligent lady such as yourself with as much Beauty has many suitors. Why me. Shaylin looked at him and said you really want to know. Yes was the answer. Don't you think it's about time you told me. I've been wanting to ask you for a long time now. I guess it is time my love. Remember when we were kids and just alflings. Some of the best times I ever had with you. One time even though I already liked you we were at my home taking a nap. With you by my side I reached over and put my hand on yours the same light I saw tonight was the same light I saw then. For some reason inside me it didn't scare me at all. The light spread over both of us I felt safe with you and it was thin that I knew I would never be with anyone else the rest of my life. I knew that I would never leave you for we are a part of each other before we ever knew time and I knew that you were the one that I was supposed to be with. Taylone  was fidgeting with his robe because he was kind of embarrassed as to what Shaylin just told him ,I want to tell you something that's from my heart for a long time I have chosen you too and I don't want anyone else you're part of me deeper than I can imagine we will be together from now on. He stood tall looked into her eyes and he said I will never leave you I guess I knew all along I was in love with you and always will be. She smiled only the way Shaylin could smile then she doubled up her fist and punched Taylone in the arm , owe  what was that for. Sead  Taylone  with a surprise. It's about time you noticed I thought I was going to have to write it down for you. Taylone  rubbing his chin and laughed and said yeah sometimes I can being a little beside myself. Shaylin was a little annoyed and said with a halfway Grin  don't worry I will remind you should you ever forget. They reached out and gave each other a long hug and held hands and walked out of the cave entrance for now Taylone  had a meeting with glasserion  that he must attend. As they walked Taylor said. After I meet with glaseriain i'll come to you so wait up for me I'll explain everything when I come back. Just be careful he's crazy you know. I've talked with him before and I'll be all right. He's not as crazy as people have said. She stopped and glared at him ,please be careful we're in pretty deep now and we are inexperienced in handling adult situations of the Lands rod. I trust you with my life and she smiled and said I'll see you later. Thanks for he reached out and kissed her goodbye his life for now was about to change forever and he  wonder if he would ever be able to return to her and still be the same Taylone he thought amazing she loves me I just can't get over that it's wonderful but then his thoughts turned to last i hope he has some answers for me and who and what he was and what he is happening to him what he would become. He wished this had never happened to him and that his life was just be normal but this had dropped squarely on his shoulders and now he must try to do something about Henshaw in his army and save the lands rod .The elders were going to wait but in vain for Lord and HenShaw the time of waiting was over and his and their time had run out. /////Out loud and under his breath he said how is this going to turn out but in his heart he knew Destiny had already picked him and he could not change the way he was going. This was the teaching all over the lands rod about the destiny and that you cannot change that and that was already set in time. Taylone wondered if he really could change it. For eons  of time this was its way in the Peaceful Valley where he had  grew up and lived. He will  sort it all out later and he had arrived at glaserain house. He was the oldest and wisest man Taylor new if anyone other than his father he was hoping that he  had some answers for him. He looked at the big heavy wooden door for a moment he paused and walked up and knocked on it. End ofchapter two.

(ch_3) the meeting with glasserion .

 a deep voice inside said come on In Taylone. How dose he do that Taylone thought.  So he walked in and close the door behind him. Come over here my young elfling have a seat there is much I must tell you. Taylone looked around there was not very much light from two small windows and there was a large table in the middle of the room with Stacks a very old books and parchments laying on the table. As he passed he noticed some of the parchments were ancient manuscripts. There was a fire going in the fireplace for the evening was cool and damp. The light danced on the walls and made a Erie Shadow but Taylone felt right at home for he had been here many times in the past and it did not frighten him as it did long ago. He had not been here for a while but he remembered this house very well. I would say that there is a visit this time of importance as it was said to the air not directly to anyone. Yes sir was Taylone  answer and he sat down to a large chair across from the man he had come to see glasserian In a strong voice glasserian said you have come here to find answers and answer you will find my boy. Taylone xplained that he was hoping that glass cerian could give him some answers to what he was and what was happening to him. This I can do Taylone but I suppose we should start at the beginning for I know that as for your past you don't have much information so allow me to fill in the blanks. Then maybe you'll understand how we got to this point and then you'll understand what is going on now. That would be very nice Taylone answered. Taylone pass is that he knew glasserin from his father's business when his father would ask him for advice. Taylone father did not come here anymore but Taylone came here on occasional visit. When he was younger he like the stories that glasserin told him.  Glasserion continued. A long time ago there was a race they were not God's but were a higher form of Elvins  in the city of light. Yes I have heard of these beings  they live in the sky above us. They are real Taylone  and they are not Legends. Taylon's eyes grew big as this was not taught to elfings from the elders. Should I asked how do you know they are real. Glasscerian replied I was there when they came for their first visit. This is how I know. Glasserion got up and walked over to the wall and he  leain against the wall. There was a beautifully carved staff unlike anything Taylone  had ever seen before. Glasserian stroked his beard as he picked up the staff and walked back over to Taylone. The staff was taller than Taylone and for Taylone  age he was considered very tall. There were animals that were carved into the handle and other figuers and they were very ornate and Taylone figured it took some time to do this. The staff now Belongs to You Taylone Glassrian handed it to him. As Taylone looked at the staff he noticed it must be very old for as it curved upward the top of the staff contained two dragons with an emerald in between their wings. Taylone heard of this stuff but never thought it was true. But I thought this staff was Legend yet all this time it's been here with you I can't believe it. Glasscerian explained ,then how do you explain its presence here now? Taylone replied I can't. But my boy I can. You see this was your mother's a long time ago and she got it from a farlon who had it for generations and gave it to her as a gift now it belongs to you. So take care of it for it has great power in it and it matches the power inside of you now between the two of you. The Two Of Who, Glassserion explain your mother and yourself my boy. Believe It or Not the staff and yourself you hold the power that is beyond anything known to this planet you're not just an elfling. I know you think the staff is very heavy because it's made of Ironwood but within you you have the ability to change its weight so I want you to concentrate about making the staff very light as a feather. So Taylone concentrated on the staff and it did become light as a feather Taylone could wheel it and move it as easy as air. I have one more item that belongs to you Taylone and it's over here in this cabinet. Glasserion got up and walked over to the wall and slid away a panel which looks like the wall and no one would know that there were shelves behind it. As the panel slid by to one side Taylone noticed that there were different objects on the shelves and some of them glowed with their own energy but Taylone did not know what they were he had never seen such objects. But the old man spoke as of speaking to himself he said ah there they are. With that he pulled a small box from the shelf and close the panels. He walked over a Taylone  he sat in his big chair and Taylone laid down his staff and faced GLasserion .glasserion looked at the box and opened it inside the Box we're too silver rings very ornately they were of a metal that Taylone did not know of. Both Rings were hinged on one side as if they were to open. See how the Rings face each other and are hinged on one side . Taylone noted as he stared at the Box. Glasserion  told Taylon to stretch forth both his hands to receive this powerful talisman which would give Taylone a open mind to the power which inside him. That's the Rings were put around his wrist they snapped shut on each wrist and there was no seem  where they were put together . Taylone jumped back. What's going on glycerin what are these Rings really. I'm sorry I had to do this to you my boy and Taylone was mad with himself for falling to such an easy trick. Taylone  replies so what happens now? These rings are going to help you to learn how to master the power within yourself and within the staff they Channel your power so that you may think of something that you want or to do and it will happen. You see Taylone the power inside you is beyond measure and without some way of governing it you could destroy yourself and everything around you. Oh is that all Taylone replied. You could have told me ahead of time you know. Glasserian said I wasn't sure if you would obligate yourself to be in handled this way. Yes I suppose I could have told you but I think this is best, you know you're probably the only efling on  this planet that is not entirely a elfling. Taylone answer and said of course I am an elfling just look at me. Taylone replied okay I'm all yours at the Amusement of glasserian . He said look Taylone  I know you look wont to be a mage. But inside you're something different. You're not entirely Alphin you see your mother was in love with your father but not the father you have now, your mother was in love with a Fairlon and she bore him a child you as a matter of fact. You see taylone you're unlike any elfling ever born to the city of light or for this planet for that matter you're as different as night is to day. You see Taylone you're so far Advanced Beyond anyone here today you know inside this is true you feel it. That would explain a lot the way I feel and the things that I can already do. The power inside you is unimaginable. You keep saying that but what exactly do you mean. Well let me explain. Your mother asked me to look out for you and explain everything and give you this staff and these rings when the time was right and according to where you're at now this is the time to tell you. Most of your answers are already inside you and you know they're already answered you just needed me to confirm that what you already know is truth. Yes I guess I do I just had a hard time in believing it. That's the start  do you remember the casting Wars. Yes I vaguely remember my father talking about them in the past. I thought when I would reach exsension that I would learn a lot more.  you are never going to go through Ascension. I'm not why? It is kind of hard to explain but you have already gone through Ascension when you were born like no elfling before you. Glasserian  did you really know my mother. Yes  and I still know her. But how she disappeared many years ago. This caught Taylons attention right away. Still? I don't know how to tell you this  except to just come right out and say it but your mother is still alive and she is here in the city of light. Then tell me so I can go to her. It's not that easy. As far as Edmond estranged father told you she is dead but see that is what he was told he was not told the truth as to keep it a secret. But why would he do this.? Your mother was with child and that was you . the love that your mother had for this farlon  and for what he had for her had no match but he could not stay he had to go back to the sky and left your mother here with you as her child. You see Henshaw once the power that is inside you for himself he does not care about you or your family. When he found out that your mother was with child he tried to force her to give him that is you to him , your mother would not comply with this. You see Taylone between your father Edmund and myself we have been your caretakers for when you were born your mother brought you to us for safe keeping for Henshaw would return for you and we had to protect you. When he came to get you your mother would not tell him where she had placed you which was with me and in time I placed you with Edmond so that you would become part of the city of life and try to have as much a normal upbringing as you could be. Henshaw was furious with this you know the two Crystals at the South entrance to the city of light. Yes I passed them all the time and HenShaw used his power to split your mother Life Energy in one Crystal and her body in the other one on the other side of the road. You mean all this time I've been walking by her and did not know she was in the crystals it was for your benefit until you were older that this was kept a secret. I'm beginning to understand all of this so where is my real father now . as I said he had to go back to the sky you see your father as a creature of the vastness of space he cannot survive on our planet for very long but he loved your mother very much. Your mother knew that a part of him was with her and she would never really be alone although she would miss him very much for his time on this planet was done and he left. But henshaw's greed has changed a lot concerning you and your mother. Then how do we free her.? The evil power that placed your mother in those dark crystals is older than even I and even I do not know how to get your mother out of the dark crystals but it is said that Henshaw in his Tower in his castle has an old old book that has a way of breaking the spell to free your mother and rejoining her energy to her body. Then the spell to release my mother from the crystals is in that dark book. I'm afraid so my boy. Then if it's the last thing I do I'll find some way of getting that book and freeing my mother. Do you remember a humming when you passed those crystals ? Yes I do but it seems that I was the only one that heard it because my friends did not only I did. But glasseran if you were there that would make you, glesserian interrupted taylone. The humming you heard was your mother talking to you and the only way that she could for you can hear what no one else can she loves you very much . She has watched over you all these years and so she saw you grow into a young man but she could do nothing to tell you how much she loved you. Taylone thought for a minute I think I have have a away of getting a hold of that book I need to get hold of tennis his special skills will come in play now. A long time ago when the land was in turmoil and the Lands Rod was in a war., I was known by a different name with the lands rod I known as chaloi, I was an advisor to the Council of the city of light. I tried to warn them but they would not listen to me. That is when Henshaw came to power and there was a split between the light and the dark. That's when your mother became in prison and I came here to wait for the time when you would become a young man. You see Taylor on your mother is a noble birth and that makes you a prince. Your mother passed by those tree in the city and she always admired it so one day when she found out that the owner was going to tear it down she purchased it and took it home only to find out that your father a pharaon was inside the tree and then later on he became physical to show her who he was. So as time went by they got hold of a clergy and they both were married so that your mother would have a marriage certificate showing that she was a wife and not available. But you see taylone your father the farlone could not stay and it would be another 500 years before he could return to the Earth your mother knew what this meant but she had a part of him inside of her and that was you and she would always be close to him because of this. Both of them did not speak of this when Henshaw found out that she was with child and the father was a fairlon he told her that he wanted the baby which was you and she would not agree to this. So she brought you to me when you were a baby just born and later on I brought you to Edmond between the both of us we watched you as you grew Henshaw was enraged by this because your mother would not let him know where she had taken him and he placed her and separated her energy from her body and those two crystals with the South entrance to the city of light. Well if that's true then my mother and I are immortal. I cannot say that for sure Taylon for your part Alfin where one starts and the other one stops I cannot say. Taylone got up and started to Pace back and forth this is so all unbelievable I have a hard time believing it myself but I know it's true. I've got to speak to tennis ,I might be able to help you with that. He walked over to a table that had a wooden case sitting on it and he undid the buckles and he lifted it up and there was a glass Hood over two winding silver desk. Come here taylone  you might find this interesting so Taylone walked over and Stood Beside the glass case and he looked at the Rings. Now I want you to stare at the Rings and I want you to concentrate on tennis and image will appear and you will be able to talk to tennis as if he were here so  concentrated on the Rings and he started thinking of tennis and a picture soon appeared and tenies was writing his steed on his black horse and taylone  spoke and said Tannis can you hear me tennis upon hearing this stopped his horse immediately and looked around but he cannot see taylone, where are you? I'm at glasscerion right now.   you know they say that guy is crazy I heard that tennis said Glass cerion . I meant no disrespect it is only what I've heard, none taken. Now listen to this I have a mission to send you on and it's not one I would give lightly and you're the only one I can ask to do this I need your special ability. I thought we were going to keep that a secret well we were but the city of light now needs you. Well if it's that important I'm at your service. Tannis I need you to use your special abilities to go to the Tower of Henshaw in the Badlands and in that Tower there is a black book of spells. What would you need this book for. I need this book to free my mother from the crystals that she's been in prison in. You're not talking about the crystals at the South entrance to the city of light yes . she's been there all this time. Then I will do my best for you . when do you wish me to leave.? As soon as you possibly can. All right I will leave immediately. Thank you my friend. And with that taneis roas d off and taylone  stood back from the crystal he said to glesserion I hope I haven't sent him to his death. He's awful young for me to be sending him on a mission such as this.  where did you find him and what is he? As to where I found him that's my secret but he is a changling and he is able to change into anything he thinks of and he had no home so I gave him one and as you can see he's very grateful he's good. Now the Rings slow down the image disappeared as  glasserin place the wooden case over the top and locked it down. Taylone walked over and picked up his staff and he walked over to the Door. I have some business to take care of in town so as he walked down the path and waved goodbye glasserion and wave to him too. Taylone herd glasserions voice and returned halfway and ask what's wrong ? there's one thing I forgot to tell you and what is that?  you are now a full-fledged mage I have the authority and the power to give you that Rank and the staff and the Rings show that you will have the power behind you to be a mage. I don't think the council's going to like that very much. It's time for you to fullfill your destiny. In a short time now your intelligence and understanding of things are going to exponentially grow very fast, you see when you're stepfather Edmund wife and child both died in childbirth. it was easy to substitute you for him as his son and   so you see we both have watched over you for a long time now. CH.4 TANIES SECRET MISSION /////////////

Tannis is a medium-built boy that is smart with wit and has a tentative nature he has blonde hair and parted in the middle and it's always up for an adventure. His quietness is only preceded by his sense of humor it is noted that when he does speak it is usually something important. In this way you hardly knew that he was there but he was there nonetheless and always attended to what was going on.  by his good sense of humor for he always seem to be a happy person. He wasn't exactly real tall but average but he was thin and muscular most shape shifters you will find in this way for they expand much energy when they appear as something else but he was used to this and he handled it very well. Taylone and tanies met each other at a festival of lights that is held in Spring in the city of light they became close friends right away and taylone asked if he would like to help him with the children of the city of light as he had no home and was always on the move he liked the idea of staying in one spot so he said yes. And now Taylone and the City of light needed his special skills and there was a chance it might mean his death. Tanies had a unique ability to turn into most anything that was of the same size that he was this took in a great view of many things that he could change into but underneath it was still tanies just with a different outside that was viewed by most everybody but they didn't know it was him. He had not met many other changelings like himself but on the whole they were all built about the same a bit tall and skinny due to their lifestyle for you see taniesas to  his species was earth power the world somewhat opposite of humans was his animal world even though he was human he was a crossover that was able to live in both worlds. Tanies was far away from the city of light now and as he traveled through the countryside as he went West he was by himself but unknown to him he was not really alone for taylone mentally kept track of him he wanted to protect him from everything that he was going to as he ran along in a wolf shape he noticed the land and the animals were changing it was growing darker the woods were getting taller and and  the animals were becoming more aggressive and vicious but because he was a wolf he was not bothered for he was one of them but only on the outside. For a while tanies came across a disturbing site that was a definitive answer to the type of nature that the land that he was entering was inherently dangerous. He found a soldier that was slain and nearby was a black stallion with a saddle and Provisions in the saddle bag so Tanies buried the soldier and and as he rode on the horse he was hoping his fate would not be that of the soldiers this made him feel cold and alone for he had never been this far away from the lands rod  and the city of light. But he knew that this was something that had to be done and he was not afraid so he pushed on. After a few days he came to the barren Lands ,he knew from here on he could not take the horse he had to use his special ability to become part of the land so therefore he would not be noticed. He took the Bridle out of the horse's mouth and  unsadle him and stored both of those under a rock to be hid them and he let the Horse Run free. He knew the horse would not go far for he had trained him to come when he whistled and he would definitely need him later. His only concern was that the horse may Wonder out of earshot to hear him whistle he would just have to deal with this. Tanies in the distance he was now facing the Dark Castle and the home of the Lord Henshaw a cold shiver ran up his back. He took a Deep breath and turn it into a small brown bird that was common to these parts he flew over the outside wall and up to the northwest corner of the castle itself and settled on to the ground as he looked up it seemed like a long long way up to a open window with a small light on where taylone said the book would be. With his wings out stretched he flew straight up as fast as he could so that he would not be spotted by anyone and flew into the slightly opened window and landed behind a bench, this was just in time for a herd footsteps coming up the stairs so he walked over to the corner behind a old metal can and waited to see what would happen. Of all people that it could have been it was Henshaw with captain of the Guard. He stood Frozen in the corner behind the can and hope he wouldn't be seen. Henshaw was the first to speak to his captain, look I don't know whether the story is true about that boy that can change into anything but I want him found search the lands until you do or do not find him and then report back to me. Have our spies reported anything in yet the captain returned the question answer and said no sir no one has reported anything. Henshaw  asked what about our army what shape are they in they're still training but they're training is almost complete. was the captain of the Guard overlooked and oversaw henshaw's Army for they had recruited many more than the city of light knew that they had and they were training them for war. Craylor  answer said I believe we have enough now to take over the lands rod and the City of light Henshaw repeated well that's good that's good at least something that is good to hear. That's better news than what I had. I'll grind those nine Elders into the ground if they don't hand over that boy my time is running out. Doesn't seem to be possible he had eluded me all thease years. Keep a  lookout for both of these boys one can change his shape the other one may have the power of his mother I don't know but they are both a danger to me and the Army if we are to take over the lands rod. You see that boy is the key to this whole mess if it wasn't for his mother I could have had his power and lived forever by now but his mother hid him and I still don't know for sure if Taylone is the same as her son my spies say that he is, I can only go by their word and ask for tanies who knows where he's at. Craylor  ask my Lord why do you need this taylone which is supposed to be the Sono of that  lady you knew a long time ago. Because he holds the power and the magic that will keep me alive I'm running out of magic that has kept me alive for all these years way longer than a normal life should be. Without that magic when my time runs out and it will be soon I will age hundreds of years very fast and I will die. Now go and see if this taylone is who my spies say he is and keep an eye out for that tanies I do not want him in the castle. Craylor saluted Henshaw and walked out and gathered his guards and on their way they went. Henshaw walked over to the wall and he pressed the button that opened a hidden panel this tanies didn't know about and he pulled out a very ancient book and as he blew the dust off of it he looked at it and  said you're still here that's good he place the book back in side the cabinet and press the button and the door closed. He walked out with his hands behind his back thinking that he had  everything covered and he was happy about that. The one person that stayed behind was henshaw's right man his name was Bali and he asked why are you still here. Question mark the book My Lord oh yes it is locked up and it will be fine in the tower for no one is aloud up here with my guards at the entrance, yes sir was balies answer. Balie said my Lord have we forgotten anything in the book?  no I've looked at it over and over and I can see nothing about what we're looking for. There's nothing in it now that can help me. What about the mother and the child.? The boy would have been grown up into a teenager by now and the mother is still trapped in the crystals as I placed her she's of no concerned. She will never talk that's why we have to find her son and get the power transferred from him to me if I am to live. Lord Henshaw walked out of the room and closed the door and locked it the only way out of that room now was the window in which tennis flew in thank goodness they did not close and lock it. After tennis could not hear any more footsteps and it was quiet he walked out as a little brown bird and walked over in front of the cabinet he became a blur as he morphed and changed into himself he hastly looked around the room to make sure there was nothing to give him away, he pressed the button and the panel slid away and there was the book that held the secret to releasing taylons mother from the crystals, he took the book and pressed button and closed the panel and he laid it on the table and looked at it. Tanies had a very special leather satchel which he strung over his shoulder it was given to him a long time ago by an ancient ,Taylone did not know this but every time tanies put something in that Satchel when he changed it changed with him and when he changed back into his person he changed back the satchel and it's form this was tennis one of his special secrets he was specially proud of it. He took the book and placed it in his leather Satchel and folded the flap over and latched it securely. Tanies walked over to the window and looked out open the window slightly more and made sure that his way was clear he changed into a small brown bird that he was before and he flew out the window and he flew straight ahead so I was not to be seen by anyone. The one note to be notied  is that on the table before he flew out the window he noticed a leather parchment and he unfolded it just out of curiosity and looked and to his surprise it was labeled plans for the city of light defenses how could Henshaw have gotten the plans on how the city of light made their defenses if there wasn't a spy inside the city of light he wondered on this and he took it and also put it in his satchel and closed and latched it. Unknown to Henshaw that tanies was there and unknown to tanies Henshaw had not had time to read the parchment he was too busy with his immortality and his life was on a very short string. Tanies flew out the window his quest was done he had what he came for now it was time to get back to the city of light and to taylone. Unknown to Tanis a guard on the parapet had noticed Tannis fly out the window and he notified the rest of the guards and alarm went up. If tennis had not opened the window further and just flew out the guard would have thought nothing that it was just a little brown bird flying around the castle but he saw the window open further and then that bird flew out and he knew something was up. Tanies headed for the castle wall and he was flying just the fastest as little wings could carry him but halfway there he noticed the captain with two soldiers and what was in their hands frightened him greatly for your see in There  Possession were two Falcon Predators for a small bird like him. For such a small bird as he these birds would catch up with him in no time so he flew up to the wall and over it the captain gave the word and he ordered the birds released and they took off after tanies  He knew that his only chance was to make the tree line for he could fly in small spaces where the the large birds could not so he flew at a straight as an arrow towards the woods and closing the gap between him were the large Falcons. Tanies figure he had just enough time to reach the edge of the Woods and this is a very large Forest and he was correct just as he reached it the birds were almost on him and they had to pull up for fear of crashing into the trees tanies although being small was able to fold his wings and fly through the underbrush and be able to open his wings in the woods and start flying straight again he was safe but he knew they would make another run at him. The Falcons circled overhead he knew they would not make the same mistake twice as they looked for him. Tanies flew on and there was an open space and this was the second chance for the Falcons and they screeched overhead and they Dove at him at frightening speed he had no choice but to fly as fast as he could and he saw a tree where two limbs had grown together forming an oval shaped hole he thought if you could just make that he could fool his wings and fit through it but the Falcons could not. He dodged the birds left and right and he lined up with the tree and he fold his wings and he flew through the hole the birds had to part their ways left and right but they kept pace with him and they kept chasing him trying to get into a attack position to grab him out of the air. When you look back there was only one Falcon chasing him he was really worried as to what the other Falcon was doing and to his horror he saw him ahead of him and he was on a collision course straight into him ,Tannis didn't know what to do. He was getting tired his little wings were not met for such extreme speed for such a little bird as he was he didn't have time to change anything better so I had to work with what he had just as the bird got close to him Tannis dove and both Birds  collided with each other. Feathers flew everywhere as the two Falcons untangled themselves they straighten themselves in the air and proceeded to pursue tanies again. He flew in and out of trees, he had a small extended lead but he knew it would not last long with a speed that the Falcons could muster up and then to his horror he looked straight ahead and saw a straight face Cliff that went straight up hundreds of feet he couldn't escape. He reached the base of the cleft and slid along the ground and crashed into it he was flying too fast to stop and he turned around and for the terror in his eyes he saw the two Falcons now closing straight dead on to him he thought to himself this must be it I can't go left or right for they will split left and right and they will Capture Me so they both were right on to him and he had nowhere to go. The Falcons closed on him and alarming Pace tanies closed his eyes and prepared be torn a bets the Falcons knew that they had him and as they opened their claws to tear into him great Claws and a great Shadow overshadowed both of them and they were snatched out of the air as you would snatch a feather out of the air, Tanies heard loud screeches for the birds were in pain as he opened his eyes and looks Skywards he could see great birds they were known as Rooks which had the birds and was carrying them away he was safe but just barely. He changed back into himself and collapsed in a big sigh of relief and he checked his leather bag to make sure that his Precious Cargo was Secure and it was still there to his relief. He got up and he did some walking till he found a way up the cliff it was a narrow channel but it zigzag and he was able to get to the top of the cliff he knew he had to look for his horse and head back to the valley where the city of light was to find Taylone ,The Chase had takin him  closer to the valley where he left his horse then he had remembered so he whistled very loudly hoping that his horse would come for him. As he walked and whistled for his horse he wondered where those two large birds had come to save him where had they come from and one word entered his mind mage Taylone.  He walked through the valley whistling for his horse he found his gear and to his surprise his horse came bounding over a small hill and came to him he had the strange sensation that he was not alone he looked around but did not see anything. He saddled the horse and put all his gear on and he mounted The Black Stallion and he headed the horse to the direction of the city of light. I've got to get this information to taylone and Core right away he must really need this bad. He was very thankful to be alive for those large birds that saved him at the last possible second. He did not see or sense anyone around so he kept riding he passed the center of The Big Valley and up towards the mining camp of the dwarves these are not just any dwarves they were the mountain dwarves and they were very strong even though they were dwarves they did not like Henshaw at all. He finally made a split in the valley and the one side he took which he knew would lead him to the city of light but in order to get to the city of light he had to pass through a small wooded Valley of ogres . These ogres are always unpredictable they sided with nobody but themselves and they always seem to be on a bad disposition of how they behave towards anyone and anything. He thought I've got to get through this valleys as soon as possible last thing I want to do is run into an ogre with a bad attitude. As he road and proceeded he saw ogres here and there but they seem to be interested only in what they were doing at the time but right before him in the Middle Road was the largest and biggest that he knew of the ogres. Tanies  brung his horse to a stop and he looked at this mountain of a creature and he could only hope that his friendship with Taylone had carried the word this far and that they would be friends to Taylone ,he could only hope. He raised his hand in friendship in a large voice Mohon which was the name of the ogres leader and a mighty voice Mohan asked what brings you here little man. Tanies replied I have some important information which I must get to Taylone, May I pass through your Valley I am not going to stop I just need to go this way. Mohon  said you know of this man Taylone?  Tanies  yes he is my very good friend we were both here to help you with the water pool do you remember? Oh yes said Mohan the water pool I remember now how is my friend Taylone ,Tanies replied he is well and waits for my return. To his reply and surprise Mohan replied you may pass and say hello to my friend Tayone. I will tell my friend that I met the mighty  Mohan and that he sends his greetings. Mohan moved his massive size to one side of the road as Tanies rode by and he waved goodbye and headed on to the city of light again as he road he was uneasy feeling that he was being followed but as before he looked around and saw nothing his senses told him something was there but his eyes said different he did not have time to investigate for the time of Henshaw's Army closing and getting ready to attack was short and this book needed to get back to taylone mage. >Ch/5-------------- Taylon's meeting with Shaylin.

>As Taylone walked he was going over his mind what he had just learned from glaserion  and he looked at the staff remember that glaserion had promoted him to full mage. He knew what full Mage met but it had not set in his mind on the consequences of this for in the community of light a person with a staff held high rank and Taylone new staff was the oldest in the city now and the fact that he and his power were now fully activated, what was it glaserion  said all I had to do was think and concentrate on what I want and there's nothing I can't do now. But  the thought was just overpowering if this was true he was half pharlone with an omnipotent power. His stomach growled and he was hungry he hadn't eaten anything sometime. Can't think on an empty stomach wish I had one of those suppers at the Eatery I see all the time and a drink and some grapes would be nice. He was headed home to talk to his father Edmund but he saw something up ahead and they're off to his right was two stumps one empty but the other had a large plate full of steaming food with a goblet of drink beside it and of all things a Vine hanging down with fresh grapes on it. He cautiously walked up and looked at it all around and since it was off the path he didn't see anything or anyone around. As he looked closer he backed up a step or two this was just what he had thought, could it be? His stomach growled again and he said out loud is there anyone here your supper is getting cold he knew as soon as he said it no one would answer him not out here. So I sat down and began to devour the steaming food. And when he was done and was full he said that was delicious. He got up and looked at the vines and the plate of gold it was real cold and the Goblet was real silver he thought for a moment and Shrugged and said be gone and instantly the vine of grapes and a setting was Gone with the stumps. He stopped back and looked around. No one saw this and he was amused that this was actually well he had to say it. So it's true what glycerin said with such power I'm going to have to be very careful this could be dangerous. He picked up the staff he had laid against a tree while he ate and went back to the path and headed in shaylin`s Direction thinking how he was going to tell her what had happened to him she was and or anything else would never believe him. He thought I'm just Taylone a 18 year old a hybrid elfling like no other elfling so Advanced before me. Time would tell but there was one consulation Taylone smiled at. The odds just got in favor of the city of light for now Henshaw should be the one who is afraid and the two Elders that were traitors. Taylone knew he had a new sort of weapon that was without limit. But there was one thing he was unaware of the silver bracelet on his wrist. They did not stop his powers but limitied them.  glaserion had not told him rather they put a stop to the release of that power in full. But glaserion  was afraid with Taylone age that he and that power would go to his head and he would become uncontrollable. And Unstoppable. Of courseTaylone  did not know nothing of this I suppose glaserion  was just worried about such power being Unleashed without supervision but glaserion didn't know Taylone wisdom inside him had grown beyond the boundaries of the human consciousness. He could handle the power with responsibility. Only the future will tell. Shaylin house came into view and Taylone  walked up to the medium size house with a ornate carved wood door. And  and knocked on the door and it open and there was shaylin You're late as usual. Sorry but there was a lot to talk about . I was on Shaky Ground for i didn't know if she was mad at me or just worried but the fear that was put to rest when she walked down the steps and put her arms around my neck and hugged me and kissed me,I'm glad you're still alive. Alive what are you talking about. The talk is he eats kids like us. Taylone had a blank  look on his face and then he burst out laughing. She took a couple of steps back and had a frown on her face. You really believe that? Well maybe I don't but I was worried about you anyways. It's okay Shaylin , glaserion  is like a grandfather to me and he told me everything tonight. Shaylin noticed the ornate glowing staff in Taylone hands. Taylone had not noticed that the  Crystal was glowing till he followed shaylin's eyes, oh this I've been promoted to full mage. I think you better come inside and explain she said. I suppose I should. So Taylone  and Shaylin  walked in and sat down in the living room and for the next hour Taylone  told his lady all that had  happened and about his power minus the fact that the power had a lid on it  to do with  the rings on his wrist. Of course Taylone  did not know this until later.  Shaylin  just stared at the staff and then at Taylone , what about me? What about you was Taylone's answer? Now that you're Immortal I don't supose you need me anymore. Taylone  reach down and held shaylin's hand and looked into her eyes and smiled and she smiled back him with a little blush on her cheeks. I will always need you for the rest of my life for not only  do I love you I need your help in becoming a man someday , but with all the power aren't you now? No was the answer to Shay's surprise. I'm just Taylone like you have always known and although I have the power it doesn't make a man a man. Someday in the future I will be for now I'm just young adult learning my ways and I will really appreciate it if you were there to be by my side help me find my way as I will help you if you always. Shaylin  looked down for a minute and then back into the Taylone  eyes. When this is all over I will marry you my beloved and I will be by your side forever if you still want me. As always and forever was his answer and he bent  down and kissed her. She responded and they both smiled because they both knew it was true. I'd better be getting home it's late and I don't want to worry my father. With that Taylone and shaylin walked to the front door and Taylone place his hand alongside her face and she always tilted her head to one side on his hand. It will be okay Shay really. I know it's just been so hard for us lately. Do you trust me? Yes of course I do. Then don't worry everything is going to be okay he kissed her and hugged her and walked off waving back and she leaned against the door  again and gave him a little short wave and As he  disappeared around the bend in the road she was still leaning on the door frame. One thought came to into her mind as she turned to close the door. What a man he had become in short period of time. And how lucky she was that he loved her and was for her only. End of chapter 5.

>Ch/6   A Father's Love for his children.

 Taylone knew it was late so he hurried home I 1been gone for most of the day and he did not tell his dad where he was going and Edmund would be wondering what had happened to him. He walked up to the house and opened the door and walked in there were no candles lite but only a fire in the fireplace. He noticed his father sitting there staring at the fire. So he sat in the other chair. His father said you know I was worried about you. I know I'm sorry Father I know I'm late it's just that some things got in a way that are very very important. Was Taylone reply. I was at glaserians as he place the staff against the brick wall of the fireplace. Edmund noticed the staff was glowing from a blue crystal and said I see you have your mother's staff. You know of this staff then? Yes I have not seen it for a very long time I didn't even know if it was still around. That's part of the reason I'm late glossarian gave it to me and said it was now mine and he promoted me to full mage I kind of know the story of who I really am now. But I still consider you my father regardless of the information I have now. You know looking at that staff reminds me of your mother Karen you know the elders won't like this you being promoted to full Mage cuz they will have to acknowledge it because the staff only belongs to one person and that's you. You see a personal staff like that only glows for the person who is its master and I can see it glowing which means that you are a master I'm sure glaserian explained this to you. The reason the staff is glowing is that your powers have reached full strength even at your young age but then you know who you really are you're not my son but I've always thought of you so. That's okay father I think you as my father always and always will. You know Dad he told me everything. Yes I guess with everything that has happened lately I suppose it was about time. You're coming of age Taylone and you're a good young man so I have faith in you that you will have the wisdom to handle such power. It's not a problem for me father I've known for a while that I was different from other boys I just now know why. I know my real father is a fairlone but that doesn't make a father a real father is the one who loves you and raises you and teaches you the difference in life that's what a father is. You will always be my father and I will always be your son. Edmond was looking at the floor and raised his hand to put it on Taylone shoulder. When my wife died and son I thought I'd lost everything and suddenly there you were and over time I also thought I had gained a son for the one I lost. They both smiled and hugged each other and Edmund step back and looked at Taylone and said have you eaten.? Yes thanks it's late you better turn in for the night. I imagine that you have a busy day tomorrow. Yes tannis is supposed to return with some important books. I will have to talk to you about something very urgent then and it's about some of the elders if tanis retrieves the books I asked him ,one of them will prove what I say. Ch/7 Tanies returns to the city of light.

Time or slipping fast now and as it is it waits for no one. Before you know it was morning and the cooking of the breakfast was in the air. When Taylone and his dad finished they put away the food and cleaned up Taylone was by the table when I heard a knock on the front door thinking it was tannis, he opened it and only to find Shaylin standing there, well good morning lady. Good morning did you sleep well? I slept very well thank you as Taylone stretched. Taylone stepped out of the rather large Porch that was open to a path in front of their house it had a nice porch roof and it was shady. Going to be a nice day I see. Shaylin ask is tannis back? No but I expect him anytime now. the sun early on the horizon the air was crisp and cool in the morning breeze. Then bartho came straight up good morning everyone. Barthel said good morning and Shaylin said hi I see your fit as a fiddle. Of course would I be any other way. I stopped by to see what's up today. Taylone was already looking down towards the town for he knew this was an important day. Edmund came out when he heard all the talking. Well good morning .good morning Guardian good day sir was she and bartho's answer. Seems everyone's out and about today well we have a busy day ahead of us . it's okay guys my father knows quite well what is going on. Oh was the answer of Shay and bartho in unison. We hope you understand what is going on. I do very much Shaylin and I trust my sons judgment. He's more than what he was a few days ago. Barthel piped in did I miss something here as he noticed Taylone staff.? He was eyeing up and down. So over the next few minutestaylone gave him the short version of what was going on and explained that he had over breakfast explained all this to his dad. Edmond new of the deceit and the two elders and of the important book tannis was bringing. Then as on cue Tanies came riding up waved and dismounted his horse for he had ridden all night to make the city of Light by morning. He was a little tired to say at least but he was in good spirit. Taylone and tannis were friends and he said I'm glad you're back safe and sound. Do you have what I requested? With that he handed to Taylone a leather satchel and he was about to lay it on the table under the porch roof and as he turned there was a loud whoosh and something flew by his head and Tennis flew backwards without thinking in a split second he dropped the satchel and raised his staff and a beam a blue light and red came forth and shot down the path from the direction of which the arrowhead came from and hit tennis full in the chest. The lightning ended up in the center of town and turned blood red and fiery and to everyone's amazement sought out the person who had fired the arrow he was an assassin from henshaw's army he saw it coming but he froze with fear and didn't have time to react and it hit him full in the chest with an immovable Force and he dropped his arrows and bows and the energy enveloped him in a spare and lifted him 20 feet in the air that held him there and no amount of pounding on the spare would release him. The townspeople gathered and stared in all. What sort of magic had unleash this lightning was power they had never seen in a very long time and in fact that it struck only this one person out of all of them was proof that this person was very powerfull . The nine Elders were in session and received word of what was happening and we're discussing of what it could be. Taylone layied his staff on the table and bet down to tannis and raised him in his arm slowly the rest looked on for they knew there was nothing that could be done. Tanis I'm sorry for this, blood was coming out of tennis's mouth don't be afraid my friend we all knew this was a dangerous mission. But I should have seen this coming. Tannis replied you are my Elder and I am glad I'm dying with you by my side. I have always been your friend in this life and in the next and with all his eyes rolled back in his head and he died and Taylone`s arms. A great holler came forth from Taylons mouth so much that the people heard it in the square and looked in the direction and at each other. Taylone looked Down and closed his eyes with blood on his hands he stood up and with tears from his eyes and looked at his dad. Stay with him please. I don't want him to be alone. Of course my son I'm sorry for this. Taylone reached down and Shay looked away as he pulled the arrow out of tennis and looked in both Shaylin and barthol and said come was all he said and he walked off towards the middle of town. She looked at Birtho and all barthol could do is just raised his hands and they followed in silence for they have never seen Taylone so angry as he was right now. As they walked a lot in silence she looked at Birtho with a questioning look as to what was going to happen now. They headed for the center of town and as they reached it the townspeople stood back and there beside the fountain 20 feet in the air was the assassin who had tried to kill Taylone but missed and killed tannis the Assassin was in a fiery ball surrounding him and Bartho stopped and stood back for right now was not a good time to interfere Shaylin Stood Beside Bartho with her mouth open. Taylone walked around looking up at the Assassin for he wanted to know who it was that had killed his brother not many not many people knew that tannis was Taylon's brother yes Taylone had a brother Uknown to anyone. [ Editing] //////// That night when Taylone was given to glaserion his older brother was given to another family to protect his identity also. Taylone had known this for a long time and kept it a very deep Secret. He now looked up and said why in a very loud voice? The answer was a surprise I missed what I was aiming at said the Assassin. What do you mean you missed. That Arrow was meant for you. Taylone looked at the Assassin and said Henshaw sent you right. Yes was his anser. when Tanies stole the book Henshaw had ordered it to come down. Taylone thought for a moment ,all who are with Henshaw will pay for their treachery and with that he raised the staff and the blue beam of energy shot upward and hit the energy ball and the Assassin screamed out in total pain for the spear had turned to Fire and condensed and became a fireball and shot a thousand feet into the air then exploded there was nothing left but a trail of smoke. A guard at Henshaws Castle saw it and marveled at this and said someone with great power had released this. The towns people backed away leaving a pathway astaylone looked at Shaylin and Bartho and said come with me and as they walked the townspeople just looked at them in awe. There would be no one to stop him now for the city of light murder was of the family member was the right of the descendants of the family to seek Justice and in the Lands Rod Justice was absolute and without Mercy. They entered the Hall of the meeting room and walked up to the large doors with the guards. Taylone said in a loud voice stand aside and when those guards saw his staff they knew it was the staff of Saron and it met that of course it was glowing taylone had that authority to tell them to move and they did. Taylone passed his hand across the doors and they flew open banging against the walls echoing in the Great hall. It was quite sight Taylone with his staff and on his right hand with Shaylin and on his left was bartho. As they walked up to the council the head councilman asked what is the meaning of this? How dare you enter like this elfin ! Taylone cut him off . be quiet I'm in no mood to mess with you Elders today it was your indecision that has gotten tannis killed for if you had had not waited on Henshaw tannis might be still alive today. What are you talking about? I'm talking about treason and I'm talking about two Elders Here and Now who must answer for this charge. Allowed murmur went through the nine elders you know that an elfin you cannot charge an elder. Do you all recognize this staff? Was Taylone`s response it was again glowing brightly and they were all looking at it. I have been promoted to full Mage by glaserion and whether you like it or not you will accept that fact. This city is under attack why you sit on your chairs and debate. Well I'm through waiting this is time for action. With that he bang the butt of the staff on the floor and suddenly all the nine Elders were silent and could not move from their chairs. For the time being you will listen while I speak I've spent all these years listening to you now it's time for you to listen. This is not a request but in order. Shaylin heald Taylone arm he looked at her. You have their attention now use your power wisely. Thank you shay. Talone started to pace. I am Taylone I have lived here all my life and you know me as edmond's son the only thing is Edmund is not my real father a pharaon and my mother were married at a certain time and now she is trapped at the southern entrance to our city of light in the two dark crystals that you know very well her soul is separated from her body and this is done by Henshaw and dark magic. Why you think you ran this city you have left out many people I will not. There are things that you overlooked for the city of light so conveniently and now in your mist you have two traitors and I have come here to judge them. And because of you and your indecision about Henshaw my brother tannis is now dead the arrow that struck him was meant for me the Assassin paid for this with his life he will not bother anyone else now. I am saying that two of you have cited with Henshaw and are traitors and will be dealt with as traitors. Taylone held up the defense plans to the city of light as evidence and he said if I am not correct then how do you suppose your defense plans got into the hands of Henshaw my brother gave his life to retrieve these plans. Taylone layed the plans down on a table in front of the head Elder there is one more piece of evidence I would like to share with you . As they look on he took out his coat pocket the unknown to Shea and bartho and tannis he also picked up a letter that was in the book and names of the two Elders that sided with Henshaw he also laid that on the table in front of the head Elder you know who you are your names are written here as Traders and that Henshaw hired you to do this you have betrayed your city of light and portrayed your own people for that you must pay. He opened and read the letter of defection and laid it before them. Then he step back and paced. I'm not happy at all about what has happened to this city or what you have been doing. Your decision has put the city at light and me and my friends in danger. Not to mention my family. And maybe worst of all your indecisions has almost destroyed my life but I intend on reclaiming that right now. The two Elders are banished here fourth with from the Lands rod for life and all that are with you are going to be erased and all that you are are gone and with that Taylone banged his staff on the floor one more time and the two Elders he had heard at the front of his house while he sat on the woodpile vanished and all that was with them and their possessions home wives children Etc were put Way Beyond the borders of the lands rod. Taylone thought for a moment then looked at the direction of his home. He leveled his staff and said tannis return and a blue light filled the room and shot out of the gate Hall all the way across the city to where tannis laid and landed right on him to Edmon`s surprise he jumped because Tanies sat up and held his chest. Where the arrowhead pierced. Taylone did not have the power of life but suddenly felt life in tannis for he was not dead after all but was just unconcence from the shock of the arrow hitting him. Taylone beam of light had repaired the damage to his body and Tannis woke up. A smile came over Taylons face and under his breast said thank you for small favors. Shaylin looked at Taylone are you okay? Yes tannis is alive no time to explain. He once again turn his attention to the seven elders and released them. Henshaw is coming now for your sake and the city you better pray I can stop him for if I can't we all are going to suffer. With that he turned and walked out with his two companions leaving the elders to look at the evidence and the defection of the two elders and they talked about this 18-year-old boy that was now a full mage and they knew by the power of the staff that it was so. Bartho said what do we do now? After I calm down we go see tannis. You said he wasn't dead. Yes he was in a unconscious sleep he only looked like he was dead. I didn't know till later that he wasn't but my light was to heal his injuries from the arrow. So he's alive now? Yes and rather at a loss as to why so and I thought we better go see him and explain. Taylon stopped and held out a hand to Shay and bartho one more thing. Tannis is my older brother. That's why I was so upset. When he got hurt but how ? was Shaylin's answer ,simple glaserion hid us both at the same time only tannis and I found out we were brothers early when we walked and played as kids. Yeah but how? Taylone rolled up his sleeve and there on his arm by the shoulder was a birthmark of a dragon clearly outlined shalin said that's amazing. Tanies and i bouth have this birth mark . there's no doubt he is my brother. They soon arrived home and they're eating was tannis and sitting by him was Edmund. I take it I owe my recovery to you. Taylone laughed well someone has to take care of you even though you're my older brother. Tannis sead yes but I was in a bit of a fix wasn't I. I thank you my brother. Brother was Edmonds word and question? Yes tannis is my older brother but his powers are dormant so he is normal. I'd rather it stay that way too if you don't mind. Okay okay I get the picture sead Taylone. Do you fill up to walking? Tannis got to his feet and took a couple of steps, I guess I can. Good because we're going to free my mother from the crystals. Really do you think that's possible yes with this book i hope Taylone took the book from Shay who was all smiles and he smiled back at her. Thanks to you and your special abilities tannis our mother hopefully will be back with us soon. Okay let's go then. Edmund you should be here . she will want to thank you for all you have done for us. It will be my pleasure Lord Taylone. Lord and inquire Taylone?. They all walked off towards the entrance to the city of light where the smoke crystals have stood for a very long time. Then Edmund said it as well that I stay here for I have a job to finish for the council if you are successful and freeing your mother bring her back here. I will father you'll see. Good luck was Edmonds voice trilled off as the group headed off to the east entrance to the city Edmond was a man of Duty and Tayone respected his way of life he was not needed now.Now he turned his attention to the task ahead. Hopefully to free his mother.

Ch/8 the advancement of henshaw's army.

Henshaw came into the courtyard as his troops awaited him and he got on his horse where's the captain of the Guard he hollered and answer to his left was Here I Am Lord Henshaw. Well I'm gone no one is to leave or enter the castle. Yes sir was the reply. See to it that my orders are followed to the letter. The captain of the Guard bowed as hehshaw rode past to the drawbridge. In the fields ahead lay his vast Army. We march on the city of light and tonight they will be our slaves. The Army gave a hearty Roar as they agreed. As he rode the Army filed and behind him and death was on its way to a rendezvous with Destiny and Taylone. But unknown to Lord Henshaw Destiny was waiting for him to ,it was about to be heard loud and clear. The Army consisted of archers and big defending Swordsman and many horses and an extra on carts for the trip. The Thunder of their March could be felt in their surrounding valleys and their war cries were deafening. How could the lands rod and the City of light hope to hold against such a force. Henshaw was reading a parchment and was looking over the Army as it marched and thought to himself, This son of a pharlon will have to show him who's in charge.when he does I'll have him completely surrounded with no Avenue of Escape. It won't be long now befor I regain my youth and and vigor when I was a younger man. I will keep him in Chains in the dungeons where he will be forgotten by everyone except me. I will drain him of his power and I will live forever. An evil smirk crossed his lips as under his breath and evil laughter escaped. Thanks to the poor excuse of the elders those two Elders that defected Henshaw now know what the city of light can give and what they cannot give and that will give him an edge they the city well bow before me and I will brush them aside. They're waiting has given me the time I needed to build my Army. And thay are the very ones that are going to trample their city of light to the ground. He looked at his Lieutenant beside him and he smiled which was an unusual sight that was seldom seen for Henshaw he was extremely happy as the events unfolded in his favor. But most tyrants were delusional anyway and if he knew what was waiting for him he would have hid under the nearest rock and stayed there. Time was running out for the Army after a full two day's March was nearing the Valley of the lands rod for the interest to the valley was not far off and was marked by two large statues of warriors that stood 20 ft high and we're holding Shields and swords that showed whoever came here was automatically worn that this was not a nation to be messed with. But as with time all things wither and fade and the City of light defenses were not as strong as they once were but then again there is Taylone and where there isTaylone there is hope. Henshaw's timing was right for Taylone was now a full mage with full power and his Destiny was going to meet Henshaw face-to-face in the lands Rod Valley flatlands. Will the city of light survive anyone's guess but where there's hope there's always Taylone the fighting mage. How would the scribes render these days in this tale to be told over and over to the next Generation only time would tell and time for the valley had just ran out for up ahead Henshaw could see the statues in the morning blue mist of the valley. A low rough laugh Was Heard coming from Lord henshaw. The beads of sweat were on his forehead and anticipation of the war that was to come. End of chapter 8

Chapter 9 the dark magic of the book.

Taylone was walking very fast then abruptly stopped he looked back at his friends keeping pace and looked at both of them. I know this has been difficult but please stay with me we are going to free my mother from the crystals ,time is running out Henshaw is at the borders of the Guardians. for what he had said was the truth his friend Shaylin and bartho were quick on his heels. They were not going to miss this. As they walked Barthel looked at Shaylin and they both smiled for they knew a part that Taylor's mother was recorded as one of the most beautiful women that the city of light had ever seen. If I'm actually able to free her my father would be surprised upon their return but if anyone could free her it was Taylone the fighting mage. He had given the dark magic book of spells to Shaylin when they started out and now she held on to it tightly for this was the only source to tell them how to release his mother from her long years of imprisonment. If it worked her suffering would be over and she would be returned to her family. As as the Intrepid group approached the gate that led out of the city the tall dark crystals were not far and as they went through Taylone saw them and wondered why no one had ever questioned their existence. They were here and all three stopped and then Taylone walked forward and placed his hand on the crystals on the right side where his mother was she could see him and hear him but he could only hear her as a slight hum as if the vibration of the Wind on the air. He looked up and he said Mom I know everything. I'm going to try and free you now. I have the book that put you here. And with that shaylin walked up and handed Taylone the leather bound book it was very old and very dark. There was no telling exactly how old this book was but it was ancient everyone could tell it was because of the way it was made and the way the markings were on the front of the book. In the crystals Taylone`s mother put her hands to her mouth and smiled could this be her freedom could she once again breathe the fresh air, It was time to find out. As she watched Talon walked over to the crystals on the left for he must return her soul to her body first. He opened the book and rifled through the pages to look for the passage that would release her but to his shock on his face said something was terribly wrong. The two pages that should have been there were torn out. He sank to his knees and drop the book Shay along with bartho pick up the book which had fallen flat he held it up for Shay to see. as they both saw the pages had been ripped out. Shaylin knelt down beside Taylone and placed her hand on his shoulder I'm sorry was all she said. They stood up and with tears in his eyes Taylone took the book and held it up for his mother to see. Inside she knew all was lost. She turned away she could no longer watch. Isn't there anything you can do was bartho's question. I could try to join her soul to her body and then bring her out of the crystals but this is deep magic of ancient time and there's a chance I could crack the crystals if I don't get it right. I can't take the chance and if I did and they cracked how could I live with myself. And if you tried this and the crystals crack killing his mother how could he ever go back and tell his father what happened. He hast to try something else. Then there was the humming of the crystals and they all could hear it and by its own Taylone knew his mother understood and knew he had done all he could do. He walked up to the crystals and placed his hand on it as did his mother only inches away and he said I'm sorry. He stood there a long minute and thought. Wait there might be a way to get the pages back. Bartho said how? His friend Pace back and forth yes there is. It's dangerous at best and no Mage should try it but I got to. What said bartho? He was always at a loss I needed to be explained to. Taylone looked up at his mother in the Dark Crystal I have an idea mother I think it will work don't lose hope for where there is chance there is hope. He smiled at her. Inside she smiled back knowing that her son would not give up.bartho please hand me the book Barthel walked up and handed the book to Taylone Okay stand back there I'm going over here and no matter what you see don't interfere and don't move or it will attack. Till I turn to walk over to where he was going and Bartho was going to ask who and Shaylin stopped him. Taylone walked a little ways ahead of the Crystal and place the book in the road flat to the pages that were torn out and you could see the night before Henshaw had torn them out to use as Leverage for when he came to the city of light so that when tannis had gotten the book they were already torn out. No one knew this till nowtaylone stood tall and quiet and concentrated. He raised his hand and a blue aura of light came out and then a red light in the middle and he said I call upon the time element to come forth for I have need of you. In the road as strange mysterious red and black Misty orb appeared with a swirling mass of fog around it. Then it came towards Taylone and stopped over the book a deep voice came forth. Why have you summoned me, you know this is forbidden for time is not at your command. Taylone said. I know what I have done but our need is Honorable and just. We asked for your help to return the pages of this book. Is that all you require of me. It was said in a sadistic tone for this was black magic and it was dangerous. I know why you have sumone me here and it is not wrong to correct the forces of time that are now unbalanced so I will grant you your wish, without any ramifications. You are the chosen one Taylone and even I must admit I am impressed by your respect and to time itself for no other has ever bowed before me and ask for my help in such a way. Your your request is now going to be granted. There was a bright light and a pillar of light shot Skyward and even as far away as Henshaw was he in his army could clearly see it. Hinshaw said to himself I don't like the looks of that but he had no idea of its significance meaning that there was change that had happened but he did not know the origin of what it was. As a small swirl of mist leveled over the book the pages through time we're replaced as if they were never torn out and as the black mist of time moved off Taylone pick the book up and looked at the pages and said thank you master time your mercies are great. The fog gathered itself up into the ball and once again a deep voice came from it master Tailone your request was granted not because of your plead but because you were willing to sacrifice and willing to die For Your Mother your timeline could have been broken and you would have been no more ,this is an honorable gift to the time master. Farewell Master mage. And the fog disappeared as it came. Talone turned around and there was Shaylin and she was very mad Talon can see this by the the look on her face. And just when were you going to tell me that you were offering yourself as a sacrifice to the Time Lord. Taylone looked at the book and at her. It was a spur of the moment thought I'm sorry but it had to be done. She smacked him on the side of his arm and smile up at his mother knowing that he was right. Taylone said ow I'm sorry I didn't tell you and he walked past her up to his mother in the crystals. Shaylin was not somebody you argued with. She had the remarkable ability to always seem to be right even when he thought she was wrong. It was actually one of the things that he loved about her very much. He walked up to the first Crystal and asked Shaylin to hold the book for him while he read it. Bartho went over to the other Crystal Taylone said wait there and he replied okay. As he rubbed his chin. All right the book says there are a block at the base of each column, pull them out all the way and turn to the right until they stop and then push them all the way in. With Shaylin at one column and Bartho at the other column they did as they were asked they followed Taylone`s instructions and as they did and pushed the the blocks back into the base the crystals started to Glow. Tail out ask them to step back for he did not know for sure what was going to happen. As they did Taylor looked at the book and he spoke the ancient tongue and the two crystals got brighter and shot a light a beam of energy burst Force and met between the two columns and formed a figure of his mother and sat her down on the ground before them. Taylone said wait. He walked up to her and held out his hand and his mother took his hand and stood to her feet she said my son and she gave him a long overdue hug and a kiss on the cheek. After that they all heard strange cracking sounds in both the crystals for your seeing now that Taylone and his mother were rejoined with her soul and taken out of the crystals and time caught up to them and they crumbled and cracked and fell to a pile on each side. Barthol and Shaylin walked up to them Taylone mother reached out her hand and shook Bartho hand and she thanked him for staying with Taylone as his close friend. She turned around and looked at shaylon and instead of shaking her hand she walked over up to shaylin and put her arms around her and gave her a long hug and she said thank you for all you have done. Shaylon will take you to Edmond for he missed you all these years. I have to deal with Henshaw now he handled the book to Shaylin and she put it in the leather satchel and he said make sure this goes to Edmond and does not fall into the wrong hands. He turned to his mother and said I have to deal with Henshaw now and there are some things that i half to take care of. Taylone mother walked up to him and gave him another hug and a kiss and she said be very careful and he replied I will mother. Shaylin walked off with his mother they headed to Edmonds house. Bartho stayed with Taylone and they walked off in the westerly direction. End of chapter 9.
story side quest. Shaelyn's story of capture and Escape. As Taylone mother sat down Edmond brought her a drink Shaylin said I've got to find tail on. Edmund said we'll be fine here. As shaylynn turned to go she waved goodbye. She headed on down the pathway and the direction of the East entrance to the city of light. Not knowing that barthol and Talon were already gone from the city looking for the lost souls cave in the canyons. But this would have not mattered right away for Ashley rounded I've been in the road there was suddenly a net dropped over her from a large tree over hanging the road. Henshaw spies had captured Shaylin to use her against Talon. But shaelynn is not a woman to trifle with. A short time later she got out of her hands being tied she then slipped down to the end of the wagon and out from under the tarp and hid behind some barrels along the road in the town after she saw that she was clear she continued on her way to find Talon, unknown to the spies or Henshaw they would find out later that their prisoner was just gone.

Chapter 10 the Lost Cave of Souls finding the dragons.

So as they walked bartho exclaimed so what's next? Taylone answer and said I know where the lost souls cave is. To his surprise Bartho sead where in the world did you find that out nobody knows that. Basically it was in that dark magic book it had a passage ,Bartho sead show me. So Taylone open the book and went to the passage. Bartho looked at the book and read out loud the Cave of the Lost Souls were dragons do sleep is located in the canyon where the Sun and Moon meet. Do you know what this means? i will have figured it by the time we get there. Well we're going to need horses that's for sure. Right, I know where we can get two of them. Bartho and Taylone ran with Bartho leading the way to his uncle's house on the edge of the woods. UP a head was the house his uncle lived at he was outside chopping wood as they ran up to him. Well hello nephew how are you? Well Uncle we have need of two of your horses. It's an emergency. Yes of course the Saddles are just inside the barn. Bartho said thanks as he and Taylone ran to the barn. He looked back and said we'll return them when we're done. It's he waved as they grab the Saddles and headed for the horses. And no time at all the two were speeding off towards the canyon where the lost souls were to be located. Time was not on their side of course and Taylone thought to himself Henshaw just wait ,wait there's got to be the time there's just got to be. While back at Edmond's home how are you doing ? I'm a little wobbly after all this time suspended in a crystal but in time I'll get my legs back. Edmund you have been by Taylone sides since the beginning I take it. Yes. I had no other I could trust at the time and I'm glad you came through. My son has grown into quite a young man. His father would have been proud of him . I know that I am.she turn to shaylin Have you been with him very long, yes since we were children. I'm glad he found someone in my absence. He will need you now more than ever. Shailyn had a confident but concerning look on her face. Don't worry I will be there for him. It's our destiny .i must go now .Go we'll be fine Shaylin wave goodbye and headed off down the path in the direction of the East entrance the city of light not knowing that barthol and Taylor had already gone from the city looking for the Lost Cave of souls in the Stone Canyon. Henshaw spy had captured Shaylin to use her against Taylone. The city of light future was now in doubt for would Taylone do what he must do and possibly sacrifice his lady to save all the rest? Time will tell. They tied her up and loaded her on a horse-drawn cart and covered her up with a tarp so no passerby would even take notice and headed to the rendezvous with Henshaw ,Shaylin could not speak for they had gagged her by tying a cloth through her mouth and behind her head handshaw now had a way to stopTaylone it would be a meeting to remember. The one thing that Henshaw could not know or guess at was Taylone was changing and growing stronger by the minute and this was going to play a crucial part when the two would come together. The power of the fairlone we're coming through and the only one who really saw this was his good friend tannis Who Remain quiet this time for he observed much and said little but when he did it was well worth listening to. Shaylin was now in the hands of Henshaw and the three remaining were Taylone, Bartho and of course Tannis maybe the only one standing in henshaw's way. The future was about to unfold for the city of light and the odds were in henshaw's favor with this ever-growing army. For as his Army march thieves and thugs and persons of no names were joining him for they too wanted a piece of the city of light. [ end of chapter 11.

Chapter 12/ where the sun meets the moon [long chapter ]
Taylone and Bartho Road Taylone noticed a shadow and looked up it was tanies with his great wings as an eagle following them. Taylone new when they got the horses there was no need to worry about tanies he could shape shift to almost anything, one can almost say that tanirs was there in one form or another. They reached the canyon where taylon had headed for and talked to the elders about the Lost cave of Souls. They walked their horses through the Rocks looking for what they did not know. Overhead tanies notice an outcropping of two pylons that were at the end of the canyon. He swooped down and landed on one of the pylons as Taylone and Bartho Road up and came into view. Hey there Tanies on the tall Rock Bartho yelled. That's no Rock said Tanies this is a pylon. They road up to Tanies sitting on top what looked like a single pillar of stone that was covered with a lot of dirt and dust over the years but underneath it was black and smooth it was definitely a pylon. And a proof of smoke Tanies changed in back into himself and jump down from The Rock and walked up the Taylone and Bartho. Tanies said look what I found.They got off their horses to look at the pylon it wasn't like anything they had ever seen. Tanies ask Taylone and said what do you think? Well I'm not sure but they are very old and Taylone raised his staff and it glowed brightly and a vibration went through the pylon and all the dirt and dust over the centuries fell off and there stood before them a pointed top Crystal that was smooth and black. Although the two pylons were not straight for time had moved them and they were at an angle so taylon with his staff again raised it and the staff glowed and the pylons straightened up and became vertical once again. Bartho said Is this where the sun and moon meet? Taylone said well the sun is shining on it only on one side the moon comes up tonight and will shine on the other side I guess we'll have to wait till then to see what happens. From what I have read the ancient scrolls says there are two sets of pylons this is only the first so somewhere close should be a second set of pylons. Tanies was looking around and he said look up against that rock wall there are two stones that are sticking out from it do you see? Bartho said yeah they are kind of sticking out from the wall I would have never noticed they look the same as the wall. Taylone said well over the years the space between them and the wall that's probably been filled up with debris off of that stone wall I will clear it and see if we can see the pylons. Taylone raised his staff a beam shot out and hit the pylons and there was some dust and it kind of a small explosion and the pylons were exposed and they too were shiny and black and pointed at the top they were in direct line of the two pylons that Tanies,bartho and Taylone were standing in front of. These pylons have been Disturbed in the past you can see where they have moved to and where I have put them on the marks where they once stood in the past something horrific must have destroyed this Valley so that only rocks show and nothing living no plants no animals or anything, the only thing I can think of that would cause that type of Destruction would be the fire breath of one of the ancient dragons a alpha the smaller dragons do not breathe fire according to the ancient Scrolls that I've read through only the Alphas and the omegas and the females are the ones who breathe fire it kind of fits together. It's no wonder the elders could not find the entrance with these laying on their side and not straight like they're supposed to and with all the rock and debris over the centuries they look just like the rest of the rocks. But that's not important right now the entrance is. Tanies said well I see the pylons are in a line with each other now so where is the entrance to the cave of Lost Souls ? I think tonight and tomorrow morning we may find that answer. Now we wait till the right time. Taylone walk back and forth and was looking at the the rocks at the bottom of the pylons and around between them barthol walked up to him says is there's something wrong? well I found this hole between the two pylons it's the same size as my staff so I'm wondering tomorrow morning when the Sun rises and the Moon is still up if I should place my staff in this hole? Bartho bent down and started moving the Rocks around the hole and found out there was a metal plate underneath these rocks with a hole in the middle so he cleared out the hole and cleared out the the edges of the hole to show the plate. bartho look up at Taylone and said this looks like this has been carved out of a single Rock of granite but it's precise. Taylone bent down to take a closer look there was some wording on the plate around the particular size and shape of the hole which should fit the size and shape of the bottom of his staff the staff at the bottom was carved particularly to fit this hole. Taylon read the inscription or rather he translated from the Elvish words. The staff of a fairlone here to place for the sun and moon to Chase from this thy staff the soul caves do open and enter the portal where are dragons of old. If the words are spoken then the dragons will come the city of light will be protected from any and all forever. Taylone thought for a minute he walked up and he placed his staff in the hole but nothing happeneTaylone looked at the staff position in accordance with the pylons. He walked up and took a closer look at the staff. Then a big smile came over his face what is it said Bartho looking at both sides of the staff head what do you see? Hey the carvings are different, yes that's right and the translucent of the Sun and the Moon. Taylone reached out and turn the staff so each carbine was facing the correct pylon for you see each set of pylons was marked with the symbol of the Sun and the Moon which correspond on each side of Taylone staff the Sun and the Moon. Taylone reached out and turn the staff so each carving was facing the correct pylon with the correct marking. He said good will stay here tonight tomorrow morning when the Sun rises above the Peaks and the moon is full and still up on each side as facing the direction of the pylons will know whether this is where we're supposed to be. So they decided to stay and they spread out the rocks in a flat area where they could bed down for the night . Taylone took his staff out of the the hole to keep it safe with him they would have to wait till the morning to see what would happen when that staff was placed back in the hole in the correct position. They collected dead wood and made a campfire and each of the three lay down their packs and rested for the night they ate and then went to sleep tomorrow would be a bright day to bring answers to their questions. They slept soundly as they knew that there would be nothing around them to bother them nothing lived here and nothing came here the Sun Rose bright and sunny and the air was crisp for in the mountains temperatures were a little bit cooler than they were on the planes. After breakfast and packing their packs up they walked over again to the pylons and then walked between them where the staff was to be placed. Taylor looked to the sky I saw the sun coming up and also saw opposite the full moon so he placed his staff with the corresponding placement of the Sun and Moon emblems to each pylon a beam shot out in both directions hitting both pylons at the same time. The pylons started glowing and then they changed their color all four pylons changed to Solid Gold and also it showed more carvings on their side that they could not see before because of the darkness. They glistened in the Morning Light and bartho said wow did you see that! Bartho looked at the pylons that the one closest to the rock wall he said what about these carvings? Taylone started going down and read to himself he said their prayers for the Divine wisdom and the truth Tanies smile and said yeah I think we're going to need some prayers. Taylone was talking more to himself than to Batho or Tanies and to think a month ago I was just a boy chopping wood for my dad and now here I am trying to save everything. Now Shaylin and I are thinking about getting married and I've been promoted to full mage and I'm trying to track down the opening the portal to dragons, I've got henshaw's Army bearing down on the city of light and I seem to be in the center ,this is amazing. Bartho said well if I had to have anybody who was in that position I'd rather have you, Taylone patted him on the shoulder and said you're a good friend Bartho and Tanies walked up and said I think this was supposed to happen that all three of us were supposed to be here and find this entrance and the gate to the Lost Souls, Taylone said you know I believe you're right a lot of things came together unusually for us to be here right now at this time. Bartho with his pockets full of food and his wisdom as a very large boy ask the most puzzling question well the pylons have been hit with both the Moon and the Sun and now we have these inscriptions on the wall and you said their prayers but I don't see the Lost Cave of Souls, Taylone thought for a minute you know you're right there must be something else we have to do to open it. Taylone staff was still in the hole while they were looking at the inscription prayers on the wall the sun got up higher and the full with band of the light hit the staff and a blue light different from the first shot out from both pylons to the staff and the staff hit the wall where the prayers were the rock fell away and there stood at Gateway all three just stared and glared and couldn't believe their eyes. Taylone shortly afterwards said that's what it meant when the Sun and the Moon would meet the sun had to get up high enough so that both the moon rise and the sun rays were strong enough to show where the entrance to the cave of of souls were ,the light from the sun wasn't strong enough to create this, it had to wait and get higher in the sky. Taylone walked up to the doors they were art shape and they were made of metal and Stone of which Taylone never saw before there were inscriptions on the doors so Taylone decided to read out loud for everyone to hear and this is what it said through these doors you must step to talk to the dragons and pay them respect for whereupon and agreement is met the dragons of time for the city of light will fight for this is the way of the light. Taylone looked at Bartho and Tanies said this is the Lost Cave of souls archway. Tannis said but how do we open it? Taylone walked up to the door and he placed his hand on it but to a surprise his hand passed right through the doors and he pulled it back quickly. Bartho and Tanies both expressed the amazement and what they saw. Taylone looked at them said I don't know what's on the other side and I think that both of you should stay here till we know. But Bartho as first to speak up and he said not if it means that we're going to stay here without helping and following you we're coming with you! Taylone really couldn't argue with that point because they have been his closest friends and helped him out a great deal. So he said okay but stay behind me I guess we're to walk through this gate it only looks like it's solid but it's not. A resounding yes from both bartho and Tanies for they were as curious as Taylone to see what was on the other side. For both the door and what was on the other side no one had seen for thousands of years and the question remain in Taylone's mind were the dragons still alive and are there still a lot of them or would this be all for nothing. Bartho said Is it true that the only way dragons can sleep is on a pile of gold Tanies looked at him and said well that's what it is said but that's only a legend no one really knows the truth, Bartho said well I guess we're about to find out Taylone looked at them and said okay be quiet we have to be very careful now. Taylone pulled his staff out of the hole and walked up to just in front of of the portal the words are still there and the doors were still there but he knew from touching it that they weren't solid. The strange thing is when he touched it this time his hand would not go through bartho and Tanies just looked at each other and had a question on their face, that's when Taylor noticed that in the middle of both doors where they met there was a special type of Notch that was like an eye and it looked as though his bottom of his staff would fit in this Notch like a key. So he's spone his staff around and inserted the end of his staff into the notch and turned it the doors swung Inward and opened to his amazement and the amazement of his friends. Before them was around orifice it was like nothing they'd ever seen it was like water but vertical but just inside the orifice Taylone walked up to a plaque on the wall and read it, it said Maggie dorsetti fetalon kopech this was a language he was unfamiliar with but when he said that the staff Crystal began to Glow both Taylone and Tanies who are the closest felt pressure against them and then Batho also felt it the doorway and the water had a ripple effect and it changed to Blue. What was amazing is that all three of them could see through the portal to the other side there was a green and Lush land and waterfalls. But the buildings were old and it was a different world than what it was on this side of the portal. Taylone looked at his friends and motion for them to follow him. They all passed through the portal and they were in the other world the world of the dragons turned around and looked at the portal and on this side it was also a shimmering gate a blue water then he understood how the dragons could survive all this time . and not being a cave is that they have their own world this is a dimensional Gateway which leads their world into ours. Barthol says what do we do now Taylone looked at both of them and said I'm not sure I've never done this before but we'll walk and be very careful where an Uncharted ground here now this is the Dragons World and we are Outsiders. Bartho didn't move in tanies looked at him and so are you okay? he says it's times like these that I'm not sure of while bartho was strong for his friends and circumstances like this sometimes when he was faced with the unknown he needed a little help in going forward so tanies patted him on the back and said come on my friend with Tayone with us we'll be all right. A little prodding now and then did bartho a lot of good. The world they had crossed over into was very different from the one they had just come from. Here it was warm humid and Lush with all the matter of Greenery. A waterfall just ahead was a welcome relief from the canyon of rock and stone that they came from. They quenched their thirst and headed for a stone structure on a trail above the waterfall. When they were in the clearing it was then that it happened. Four great dragons walked out around them and had them surrounded. Geez I never heard them did you Tanies no I didn't hear them at all for such a great Beast to be so quiet it's amazing. Taylone looked at both of them and motion for them to be quiet and to bend down on one knee like him in honor before the dragons. The largest of the Dragon spoke. It is as the legend foretold he Bears the staff. Rise Mage and tell us who you are, and his friends Rose and Taylone looked at the large Dragon and he said I am Taylone these are my friends bartho and Tanies we have come to open away between you and the city of light. Come with us for the council will decide your fate. Our Fate said bartho, the dragon just looked at him and smiled yes to decide whether to help the city of light or to have you for a meal. Bartho looked at Taylone with a surprise look on his face Taylone just said oh don't worry he's just having a little fun with you. Bartho said right as he looked at the Dragon the dragon is still smiling just looked at him and then walked off. The group followed them in Bartho still wondering whether that dragon was just joking or not. They walked for a short distance and into the clearing where there was a great Columns of stone and a circle like the ones at the city of light that no one really knew what they were for, time had erased it from their memories. But now they all knew what those pillars were for in their world. Taylone wondered about their similarities and wonder if they were related. Wait here was the command from the large dragon as they waited the remaining dragons stood like statues and said not a word. Bartho standing beside Taylone and said do you think they would really eat us. Of course not was Taylone reply they were just joking I think. Taylone looked up one of the dragons and the dragon look to him and Taylone smiled. Their weight was not long as the dragon that flew off was now returning and landed in front of them as he does so there was a loud Brush of wind that passed them and they were amazed at his great wingspan they had never seen anything like it in their lives. He folded his wings and walked up to Taylone, the council will see you right away. Without knowing why the largest dragon looked aTaylone and said it is a very great pleasure to meet you Taylone we have known about you for a long time but he did not say how only that they did. It is indeed a honor to meet you. It is an honor for me and my companions to also meet you. You may call me lightning fall I am your protector while you are here Mage Taylone. Thank you I would appreciate that. The Dragon Bowed and so did Taylone on in respect. The group were Led through a high Archway and down a hole into a Mammoth Cave where many rows of Dragons Were seated along the walls and in the middle was a sight to behold for there in front of us was the Council of the ancients. The four elemental dragons of time. Lightning for about and introduced Tailone his friends and turn to Taylone, see that Circle embedded in the stone over there he look and said yes .you three are to remain there ,I understand and he and Batho are Tanies walked over and stood in the Circle. Lightning Falls said to Taylone I warn you, you must not step out of that Circle till you're told to do so for it would mean your death Taylone nodded and understanding that this was very important. As I entered the circle Taylone tund to his friends and said do not step outside this circle if you want to stay alive and stay very quiet that means you bartho . Taylone smiled Bartho still had a worried look on his face and said okay. As they waited tail on explain about the four elemental dragons they were the ancient dragons that were known in their world as the elements Earth fire water air. These dragons were royalty in our world and they are leaders in this world. They must be treated as such I will do the talking you must be remain quiet. No matter what you say you two are not to do anything no matter what. A deep voice was heard with authority and the words were said as a father to a child. Taylone at that point was down on one knee and he was ordered and said rise Taylone for it has been a long time since we have heard of that name.. Taylone asked a question the answer was you may you know of me I only know of you through our Legend how is that possible? A deep voice from one of the Dragons said your name has been known throughout the time and it would once again be raised to protect the city of light and we know why you have come. Teylone in the most controlled voice that he had ever used said Thank You king of time and space for this audience that we may show you and ask for your help. What brings you here ? In my time in our village I am just a boy. But I come to you with this present and unknown to all others I come as tylone with something that only I know. A lone voice said we know that you are part Fairlawn and the other is human your lives and the lives of the city of light are not be on our site for we have kept track of you over the eons, you did not see us but we have seen you. Unknown to Bartho and Tanies Taylone had something in his pocket and a Leather Pouch that he kept hidin from everyone until now he pulled it out and it was a crystal of blood red and it emitted a bluish red purple from it's Crystal sides. He bent down and placed it in the circle before him and before the council no one said anything it was definitely quiet. Tanies and Bartho just looked at each other with a big question on their face. In my land there was a legend of how the dragons and the City of light coexisted and to all those that were with peace but Somewhere In Time the peace was lost between the two and the door sealed between our worlds. You have been sorely missed and now the city of light is in danger of being destroyed and it's people enslaved to a barbarian warlord and I have come here at Great risk to my life and my friends to beseech your help and once again and saving the Beloved city of light. To heal the wounds between your world and mine I have brought you this Crystal I know it has significant meaning to you and I pray and Hope that it will bring us together as one once again. The large dragon said this is much and the other large dragon beside him set something as silence to him and they the three and four of the elements discussed the crystal before them. Lightning fall with his tail picked up the Crystal and brought it to the table before the Ancients and laid it before them. Taylone continued I know to ask this is very serious and I know what it meant would mean serious death to me but I have no choice in that I may try to save both our worlds. The dragon of water said why would you think our world would be in danger from anything from your world? I know there are forces in our worlds that we do not understand and I know in the past that for such a question that we were in charge of offering you meat in exchange for your help I am here to offer myself as that meat if you will save the city of light. Once again there must be peace between us and I'm here as proof of that. Bartho did not know that Taylone was going to offer himself as a sacrifice and Tanies started walking towards Taylone and bartho reached out his arm and stopped him and looked at him with a concerning questionable look. Bartho looked at Tanies we can't interfere remember Taylone asked us to be quiet and stay where we're at. This did not go unnoticed by the dragons and they use the peripheral vision and noticed the movement. The water dragon spread his great wings and asked a question. Taylone was kneeling with his head bowed waiting for his destruction as a sacrifice between the Dragons World and his world. The question from the water dragon asked these two have they been with you long Taylone's answer was that yes they are my very dear friends and they have been with me for a long time. Do you trust them was question. With my life my Lord. You may raise and stand Taylone the council has decided to spare your life the crystal will be upon between your world and Ours to open a pathway between. You come here with this Crystal and in front of your friends you have offer yourself as a sacrifice that is a very Noble thing you have done. You may stand, the interest between our world and yours there will be no sacrifice you have sealed and set between us and you for eternity we are here to help you. You are truly a master Mage Taylone and I bestow the blessing of the Dragons upon you. With that a wondrous blue light surrounded him and he knew inside of him the blood of the Dragons flowed for now he understood what was so important about the Fairlons they were part dragon and partial of space and now he was of all three worlds and he also knew that now he was Immortal. Nearest Dragon was next and said I offer you the will of the dragons and a fire Rose around Taylon and he felt the power inside of him like nothing he had ever known come across and even his Mage Powers were not as strong as this now the two combine and fuse inside Taylone was now a dragon and could change into a dragon anytime he wanted. Next was the wind dragon and he stood and said I offer you the wind Beneath Your your wings and when you think of this you will be able to change into a misty wind dragon. In this form you may defeat any enemy that comes up against you .Taylone bowed with respect. Next there was heard a loud thud as from the darkness stepped a gigantic ice dragon. This Dragon was of the mother earth and she walked forward and stood before Taylone and bowed in respect Taylone also bowed and respect to her. For you see the Mother Earth Dragon of all other dragons owed their existence to her. Taylone do you know who I am Taylone replied yes Mother Earth I would know thee anywhere. In times of trouble dragon's have always helped our brother and now because of you we have again achieved the Brotherhood of Man kind and to that I will bless you with many offspring so that the future may be blessed with the life and force known as Taylone Master mage. Taylor bowed in respect the ice dragon reached down with her great claw and placed it upon his head and I wonder if of light came forth and she uttered these words for upon this Mage let the power of ice fall full and to his Destiny in the world of the next. He now had the power of ice and snow and when and cold for his Destiny was Now set. She stepped back and said now rise Master Taylone for you are the light of the dragons and other city of light we will fight alongside of you as we have done in the past and save the city of light from this Lord Henshaw and his army. I know you're wondering how I know this I am of the Earth and I hear the footsteps even before you came and of course your majesty I go now tail line we will come when the time is right. With that tail on ran over to his friends and said we must go we're out of time. I take it they will help us? Was tennis question yes indeed my friend and they will go with us when we are needed of them and lightning fall walked with them back to the portal. Till I turn towards his friend lightning fall and said I wish to thank you for all your help and bringing us before the council. Lightning fall look down at him and said it was a great honor that I am allowed to go with you now into your world and I will be by your side to carry you wherever you wish and to protect you. Talon was so amazed for lightning fall was a gracious looking dragon plated with armor plates and he stood with dignity. He replied to the dragon and said I will be honored to have you as my friend and together with his friends bartho and tennis they walked back through the portal into the world of humans. (End of chapter 12 ).

Chapter 13 the return to the city of light.
After they went through the portal both tailon, barthol, tennis and tailon's new friend the dragon lightning fall. Which according to this Dragon was now his companion and protector. They found their horses and with lightning fall flying overhead they headed back to the city of light the portal close behind them and the pylons became silent. Tail on now knew he had a packed for the city of light with the protection of the dragon's now. For now the next item on his mind was Henshaw and his army. That's the cover of their Trail through the lands and saw the city light up ahead lightning fall as tail on I've never saw the city of light before I was too young to have seen it. But now that I've seen seen it it's actually quite beautiful with the white spiers against the beautiful green tapestry of the mountains and Hills I can see why you love calling this your home. Taylon answered yes I've grown up here since a baby and I love the Rolling Hills and mountains that's why it's my home I want to save the city of light and the lands rod. They were coming up on the the west side of the city entrance as they did so all the residents started to walk backwards as they were very afraid of lightning fall the Dragon someone went and got the council as they approached, as they entered the Westgate the console was there to meet them and tailon said do not be afraid I have found the entrance to the lost souls cave my friends and I have entered the portal to the Dragon's Realm I met with their console and they have accepted me and the City of light for protection allow me to introduce my companion and protector the dragon lightning fall he is a representative of his world, there is nothing to be afraid of they are our friends and they will help protect the city of light from Henshaw. Placerian was also there and he walked up the tail line as did tailon's parents. As he shook taylon's hand he says well done my boy I didn't know if you could do it or not but you have.
