Beauty So Bright

Beauty So Bright

A Poem by Steven Daveluy
"

About an unobtainable woman

"

I have seen her in gowns the brightest
Sheltered my eyes, lest she would see
Her glamour admired in the slightest
By a broken sot, trodden like me

There is entitlement to which her beauty bounds
A hideous gaze na’er be privy to
A reflection cast, to the world it surrounds
To be enjoyed only by, the handsome few
