Kim’s Castle

A week after thanksgiving the Red Star Soccer team won two more games which only is leading up to five more and if they win all five they could go to the sour bowl. Roscoe sat at the booth drinking a malt shake when he looked over at Bobbi was making flyers, “So Bobbi what’s going on this week.” Bobbi grabbed the paper and held it up for Roscoe, “The annual Red Star Talent show this Friday. Winner gets a thousand bucks and a gift card to Stacey’s.” Roscoe drowned is eyebrows, “Stacey’s?” Bobbi set the flyer down, “Yes Stacey’s it’s a five star restaurant with amazing food, amazing music and a lot of hot rich guys. Roscoe nodded his head, “cool except for the hot rich guys” Roscoe took a sip of his shake, “So have you told Kristy about this?”

Bobbi shrugged, “Nope why would I?” Roscoe stared at Bobbi, “Bobbi have you not heard her sing. She is amazing you are her friend right.” “Yes” Bobbi smiled, “But what’s the point. If there is no music producer there then it’s useless to her.” Roscoe thought for a moment, “Well what if I can get someone to be there.” Bobbi smiled, “you can do that.” Roscoe bounced his head back and forth, “well I can try” Roscoe got up from his seat taking out his phone, “I’ll be right back” Roscoe quickly waked off. Bobbi looked at the flyer thinking that she could enter and win the money.

Krystal’s bar and grill

Up on Stage Pixie of crap was performing. The crowd was enjoying the music and so was Roscoe. When they stopped playing the crowd cheered for them. Camille smiled walking over to her little brother, “Hey lil bro how do you like it.” Good” Roscoe nodded his head, “you were good.” Thanks” Camille took a seat, “So what did you want to talk to me about.” Roscoe took a deep breath, “Well I was wondering if you knew a talent scout.” Camille looked at her brother like he was an idiot, “Roscoe you got to be kidding me. If I knew a talent scout I would be already tour the states.” Roscoe sighed, “Sorry wasn’t thinking, guess I’ll go.

Roscoe got up from his chair when a man came up to Camille, “Hi I’m Troy Henson” Camille face turned complety white, “you have a very talented voice.” Camille smiled, “Thanks.” Troy smiled, “No problem, so I’m from A Music Records and my boss would like to record with you.” Camille eyes widened, “you got to be kidding me.” Troy chuckled, “No jokes at all your good and we think you could be the next punk band” Troy reached into his pockets pulling out a green card, “Call us and we’ll set up an appointment.” Camille quickly took the card, “Oh my gosh I will” Camille turned away and quickly went over to the band to tell them the good news.

Troy turned around and saw Roscoe smiling like an evil puppet, “Um hello.” Roscoe wiped his smile away and folded his arms, “Hey so you’re a big talent company.” “Yes” Troy scratched his head, “Do you have any talent.” Roscoe had a few, but he wasn’t there to talk about him, “Yes, but this isn’t about me. This is for my friend. She is an amazing singer and… “Hold on let me stop you right there” Troy said, “Does this friend go to high school.” Roscoe licked his lips, “Is that a problem.” Troy sighed, “Very much I’m sorry I can’t help your friend” Troy walked off. Roscoe turned around following Troy out the door, “Come on you got to give it a shot.” Troy threw his head back turning around to Roscoe, “Look High School is talent is useless and it would be useless to waste my time I’m sorry.” Roscoe had to think of something fast to get this guy to the high school, “Come on bro she has an amazing voice. Have you ever wanted something so bad, but never got it.” Troy sighed, “Yes I have.” So” Roscoe threw up his arms, “so come to the high school talent show on Friday and you won’t be disappointed” Troy thought for a moment with a blank stare at Roscoe, “Okay fine” Roscoe pumped his fist in the air, “I’ll send someone over there on Friday, but I can’t make any promises.” Roscoe gave a nod, “Yes.” Troy smirked getting out his phone and walking into the parking lot. Roscoe looked back inside seeing how happy his sister was hopefully he could make Kristy as happy as her.

Lyon’s Circle

No Roscoe that was such a bad idea” Kristy got up from the couch, “I get stage fright.” Come on Kristy” Roscoe stood up sluggishly, “You are the best singer in Red Star. I don’t get why you won’t try this.” Kristy sighed setting her hands on her hips, “Because of my father.” Roscoe folded his arms, “your father what’s up with him.” Kristy sighed, “He used to be a famous musician, but when I was five he got into drugs, is record deals got cut, and he lives in shack.” So” Roscoe cleared his throat, “Your afraid that will happen to you” Kristy gave a nod, “Yeah.” Roscoe shook his head walking over to Kristy setting her hands on her shoulders, “it won’t. I looked this guy up and he legit. He signed Verse Rhythm, Junk Rescue, and jelly of a friend. Now that’s a weird band.” Kristy shrugged, “I don’t know I’m not really sure.” Roscoe sighed, “I’m going to be with you every step of the way” Roscoe stood back holding out his hand, “If you come with me on this journey I promise you that everything will come together” Kristy thought for a moment seeing herself in stardom life. She smiled and took Roscoe’s hand in the journey of life.

Red Star high school

Friday 12:20 P.M.

Over the week Roscoe was busy with his girlfriend, helping Kristy with her music, playing soccer with the team, and etc. at lunch Roscoe threw his food away when he looked in the hallway seeing Ervin getting picked on by another bully. He sighed walked over to them, “Chance what the hell” Roscoe threw up his arms.” Chance shook his head pointing at Roscoe, “Back off Rizzo he owes me money.” Roscoe looked at Ervin then back at Chance, “How much?” Chance looked at Roscoe, “Forty bucks come on man I don’t want to hurt you” Roscoe pulled out forty bucks from his pocket holding it in front of Chance, “Here” Chance smirked taking the money, “Thanks Ervin your debt is paid off” Chance folded up the money and walked into the kitchen.

“You don’t have to save me all the time.” Roscoe smirked, “Please if I wasn’t here you would be on your way to the nurses right now.” Ervin sighed, “Wish I was dead.” Roscoe drowned his eyebrows, “Don’t ever say that again. All you need to do is step up. Look what are you going to do when were in college. I’m not going to be there and save you. Ervin sighed, “I know I wish I was like you.” Roscoe scratched his head, “Uh no you don’t my life is a lot tougher then you think. Just be yourself and don’t let anything be a burden. Now come and hang out with the crew.” Ervin smiled picking up his backpack and walking with Roscoe back to the group.

After lunch the periods were free time because of all the empty seats from the students participating in the talent show. In fifth period Roscoe was talking to John and Nestor when Savannah came up and smiled at Roscoe leaning over to her where her breasts were showing, “Hey Roscoe.” Roscoe smiled, “Hey Savannah what’s up?” Savannah shrugged, “Not much so I was wondering if you would like to come to a party before winter break started.” Roscoe thought for a moment, “sure where at?” RSU” Savannah explained, “It’s in the senior’s dorm room Two Weeks.” Roscoe nodded his head, “Sweet can I bring the guys.” Savannah smiled, “Sure the more the merrier, later hot shot” Savannah winked at Roscoe before walking back to her desk.

“Man” John shook his head, “bet you can’t wait to bang her.” Roscoe looked at john sternly, “Bro I have a girlfriend.” Nestor nodded his head, “Yeah, but not when she was talking to you. The only thing you were thinking about was f*****g her.” Roscoe threw his head back, “Okay I was, but in reality I’m not going to do that because I have a girlfriend and I’m one girl kind of man. John sighed, “Sure you are.” Roscoe sighed realizing there were a lot of girls at the school wanting to date him it was tempting, but he had to stay true to Bridgette.

After school the students were going into the auditorium for the talent show. Roscoe was outside looking for Troy. The only thing Troy wasn’t coming because he said he was going to send someone and he didn’t specify what he looked like or what his name was.

“HI Roscoe” Magdalena waved to Roscoe hugging him, “I can not wait to see my little girl sing.” Me neither” Roscoe folded his arms, “So have you seen anyone that looked kind of like a business man.” Magdalena thought for a moment, “Uh no I have, but I did date a business man it just sucks that it ended” Magdalena sighed, “but today is not about me it’s about Kristy and her musical talents, bye” Magdalena kissed Roscoe on the cheek and walked inside. Just about everyone was inside Roscoe was kind of depressed that he didn’t see anyone.

Going down to the fourth row Roscoe sat next to Bridgette kissing her on the cheek, “So did you see him.” Roscoe sighed, “No either he’s running late or just not coming” Roscoe sat back as the lights dimmed and the audience started to clap. Principal Bright came out and took the microphone, “Good afternoon students, parents and guests. Today we have many different talents and the three judges will judge them. Once all the talented young students are done the judges will tally up all the scores and determine the winner. So without further ado let the competition began. The talent show started and there were some pretty unique talent

“So” Kristy jumped turning around to Roscoe, “Don’t do that.” Sorry” roscoe threw up his arms, “Are you ready?” Kristy nodded her head, “Yeah I am, so is Troy here” Roscoe sighed, “I’m not sure sorry.” Kristy rolled her bottom lip, “it’s okay you tried your best to get him here. Maybe this isn’t my time to shine.” Roscoe shrugged, “so you still going to perform.” Kristy smirked, “no duh I practiced this hard I might as well give the student body a show.

When the jazz trombone player stopped principal Bright came out, “Well that was interesting Jason” clearing his throat, “Now for our last act singing soldiers of war Kristy. Kristy gave a sigh of relief as people cheered her on when she came out. Principal Bright gave her the microphone and walked backstage. She took a deep breath and let it all out when the up beat music started to play. Letting out the words to the song everyone was in amazement at her voice lit up the room.

Roscoe smiled glad that she was doing this instead of hiding her voice from the world. “So looks like your pretty happy” Principal Bright said, “What do you mean by that” Roscoe said turning to Bright, “Well with everything that has happened to you it should of taken some kind of pull back” Roscoe sighed folding his arms, “look Principal Bright nothing is going to bring me down, so if you think that hurting me will bring me down then you should stop trying.” Bright smiled from ear to ear, “Oh I’m not going to bring you down. This is the end for you” Roscoe smirked, “The end is never near” Bright threw his head back laughing as he walked away. Roscoe shook his head hoping that nothing could come in his way.

About three minutes the audience cheered for Kristy. Kristy waved to them feeling good about herself. She went back stage and quickly hugged Roscoe, “Oh my gosh that was the best thing I could of done. I don’t even care if I win the thousand dollars or not.” Roscoe smiled, “Well that’s good I guess” Okay” Principal Bright said, “can we have the talent please come out here and may I have the scores.

One of the judges got out the scores and handed them to Bright. “Thank you Mrs. Holstein” Bridgette looked at the top scores, “okay in third place we have Dolly Dancers, in second place we have, “Gizmo and in first place” Pausing to give dramatic affect, “Diana and her song of the rose garden. Kristy have gave it her all an she didn’t mind losing she was just in it to sing.

Thirty minutes later Kristy came up to her friends, “Kristy you should of won” Said Brianna, “Yeah Diana is such a b***h.” Kristy smiled, “it doesn’t’ matter I just like to sing and I don’t need money to bring me happy.” That’s what we want to hear” Kristy turned around seeing a man in a Hawaiian shirt, “Who are you not to be rude or anything?” Not a problem” the guy handed out a card, “Jonathon Hale Troy sent me over to see the show and it wasn’t like what I expected.” “What were you expecting” asked Roscoe coming up, “Well her to win of course” Jonathon said, “must be hard not to win.” Kristy shrugged, “Not really I just mainly like to sing.

Jonathon smiled, “That’s why I like to hear. We would like to get you in the studio and sign a two-year contract with us. What do you say?” Kristy thought for a moment, “Well I would have to ask my mom first.” Yes” Magdalena quickly said overhearing there conversation, “Hi I’m Magdalena.” Jonathon smiled, “Awesome well if you have time I would like to talk to you and your daughter about what’s going to happen.” “Sure” Magdalena put her arms around her daughter, “are you going to make my baby a star.” Jonathon nodded his head, “Yes now let’s talk in my limo” Kristy and her mom walked with Jonathon to discuss the work of a star. The group was exciting for Kristy and couldn’t wait to hear her on the radio.
