Discarded

Discarded

A Poem by SteveTarasev
"

Not needed, not wanted-alone once more

"
I sit forgotten and disregarded.
Not needed, not wanted-alone once more.
Picked up, inspected  but soon discarded.
Once again shattered to the very core.
I cannot help but to feel discouraged.
Once again I did not win the heart.
I did what I was supposed to-yet failed
I wish I could try again from the start
Oh so many things that I could have done
Oh so many things that I could have said
What do I do that makes them always run?
What do I do that makes their love go dead?
I've got no resolve, nothing left to say.
I've learned my lesson, alone I will stay.

Ahhh . . . You said this . . . "I did what I was supposed to yet failed." Yes, you did fail if you were taking someone else's recipe for loving happiness. Be yourself man. Don't let the cool people "tell" you how to go about finding happiness with the opposite/same sex.
