Snot

Snot

A Poem by Steve Schatz
"

Well... you'll NEVER guess what this one is about. It's a kids poem. A break from writing the 3rd magawatta book

"

Snot

Wipe your nose

You always shout

It’s not my fault

What dribbles out

It's on MY lip

It's not on you

It’s just some snot, it isn’t poo

When it’s cold or during spring

It drips a bit. That’s no big thing

It doesn’t hurt. It doesn’t smell

Well, my nose does and does it well

It doesn’t stink is what I mean

But ain’t the grossest thing I’ve seen

My nose runs faster than my feet

Springtime’s pollen has me beat

When Winter’s icy winds do blow

Don’t blame me, snot starts to flow

But use my sleeve to wipe it clean

You scream as if I’ve been obscene

There’s just no pleasing some I say

I’ll take my snot and go away.

Then all alone and without me

You’ll be bored but booger free.
