Moonlight On The Meadow

Moonlight On The Meadow

A Poem by Steve H
"

Another quick write :) Not completely polished but Im fairly happy with it!

"

Moonlight on the meadow

Ripple in the grasses

The breeze in the trees

Makes a whistle as it passes

Trickles echo in the brook

Midnight crickets sing their song

Silent owl sits in the willow

Observing closely all night long

Bats make a flap

As they skitter through the skies

Foxes flurry through the hedgerows

Cunning, sly and wise

Moonlight on the meadow

Silent night retreating

That is until tomorrow

When the process is repeating.

I'm happy with it too. It's short but describes the scene well. I could see and hear everything you mentioned. Good job on this, Steve.
