ATTACK FROM WITHINA Poem by Steve RymanA poem about how I feel suffering with Chronic Pain Disease.Suffering silently, In a world of pain. Is how I spend Each and every day. In this land of freedom I feel so trapped, So helpless and hopeless, Against this attack. Unarmed and assaulted By the assailant within, A battle of wills that I have no chance to win. Pain wracks my body. My mind says it's so. My spirits I raise high To have them crushed back below. My mind grows weaker. My body's strength fades; Just another day living With this disease, Chronic Pain.
