Children are a wonderful thing

All full of life, of hopes and dreams,

An endless river of fun and games,

Ne’er are two days the same,

With eyes full of wonder

And faces aglow,

With just thoughts of today

And rarely tomorrow,

Hearts full of innocence,

Of love and of glee,

No thoughts of: “Who am I?”,

Just thoughts of: “Here’s Me!!!!!”.

And the laughter they share

With the world all around

Fills my heart with a joy

At the love that I’ve found,

A love so strong

Yet tender and mild.

There’s no stronger love

Than a dad’s for their child.
