Tears Of An Angel

Tears Of An Angel

This poem just came to me suddenly after being caught in a downpour. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to offer comments or constructive critisism.

Tears of an Angel

Storm Clouds fill the sky,

Tears spilling from the angels eyes.

The heavens open. Down comes the rain,

Echoing the angels pain.

As the thunder rolls and the lightning cracks

The feathers rise upon their backs.

As their anger knows no bounds

So rain and hail pummel the ground.

But as their anger slowly quells,

Their anguish fades and all is well.

The clouds clear with the first sun rays

Keeping the angels pain at bay.

The elements are at peace once more,

Til an angel cries, and the heavens roar.

Wow. Love this so much!!! I always think of this view when it rains! Like an angel is crying.. when the weather is gloomy.. I love the feelings you bring to this poem. I love your choice of words too. =D Brilliant piece!! It reminds me when I was little and i would wonder why it would rain. Stories of angels is what I've been told.. ^-^

I think I'll have to buy your book now :D I felt almost nostalgic reading this, as if I'm slipping back to my early childhood, there's something very lyrical and magical about, it's like chanting a magic spell (not that I have). love it! :)
