Masquerade

Masquerade

A Poem by Stephanie Miller

My heart wanders with love or with hate but never harm.

Screaming hosts of heaven are ravenous with their desire,

Even from hatred and rancor flung into the Devils face.

There is no pain, but sorry is like fervent orchards sown in the dust.

We all fear God, though an enemy is seeking to scorch him in hell,

Snatching the life from his greedy soul.

wow quite simplistic yet a fountain of understanding bleeds from the very stone work in which it holds itself together. brilliant.

Screaming hosts of heaven are ravenous with their desire,
There is no pain, but sorry is like fervent orchards sown in the dust.
Snatching the life from his greedy soul.

these are my favorite lines which mold the lines together like mortar to stone bricks. but not all fear god... lol brilliant
