My imagination won't stop babbling

My imagination won't stop babbling

A Poem by Stephie204

My imagination gets the best of me

as I settle down on the couch

closing my eyes,

my mind wanders first to France

where I stare up at the Eiffel Tower

standing proud and tall.

My mind is still going, not breaking a sweat

Next stop is my air balloon ride

where I float silently above the Earth

peering down at her blue waters.

Third, we travel to Mount Everest

My mind on non-stop, my body shivering

We don't stay there long, too frigid for such a girl

Now we're back in the clouds

preparing to hop out of a plane, and dance freely in the sky

I jolt back to reality as my parachute lands

softly on the ground.

Oh, wow! I love this!!!
great imagery, flow, and line breaks, but really its the reality or the poem that got me. Doesn't everyone love to imagine? Its our only escape, and the poem captures it wonderfully. ThE emotion is great! Thanks so much for sharing.

dancing in the sky sounds like a lovely way to spend a day... I encourage your babbling imagination.. :)

'What a beautiful ride !

The imagination is so handy. If adventure is
lacking-----just lay back and let your mind take
you anywhere you would like.

This is a neat poem, well constructed, full of
imagery and a great command of the language.

My rating ---- 100%
