A Lie

A Lie

A Poem by Stephanie

A Lie Is Only A Lie When

Spoken Once

But As A Lie Grows And As A

Lie Spreads It Engolfs The Truth

Till The Truth Lies Dead

Great little poem, and very true. A couple of points...

unless the lie in this case was about 'golf' and it is word play then the correct spelling is 'engulf', and secondly, in the last line I think you mean 'til as a shortened version of 'until'. (Till is something one does to soil).

Actually, just in terms of the flow, I think I would like 'Until' more in the last line rather than 'til. Something to consider unless you needed to cut the extra syllable.
