If Need Be

A poem about loving what you have.

Why would I want this, when I could have that

Of course I want it shiny who would ever choose matte

No I will not give, when there is an opportunity to take

And nobody dares to tell me I’m a conniving snake

It is crazy to think there are truly people like this,

But in many cases people only care for their own bliss

With all the sweet things we want, society’s grown sour

But, actually loving what we have is what will give us power

We keep exclaiming,

More, More, More

But all we are getting is,

Little, Little, Less

Not sure about this poem, but thought it would be a good reminder of what we have this Thanksgiving.
