Let me in

Let me in

A Poem by StephL

If I let you in
It will all come pouring in
Like water down a drain while it rains.
washing the cigarette butts all the same.

Outside of the mind is a world full of toxins.
waiting to infect one of my self inflicted lesions,
The horror of the world seeps in.
Osmosis of the season.

Treason to my body
Enemy of my mind.
What I wouldn't give
to leave pain behind

So stay out of my head, bed and heart.
There is no room left for you.
A water tight seal works both ways,
and thats the way it has to stay.
