Dark and softA Poem by StephLa rough draft of something I wrote a long time ago.
Dark and soft as a summer night
reading alone by candle light words blurred upon the page the unrelenting gaze the unforgotten memories the disease that gets fed from the beast within filling my mind with doubt questioning all i know nothing taken for granted nothing for show nothing left but winters bitter snow memorys of a time when all we had to worry about was the passing of the day the only fall we could ever imagine was the fall from the tree never dreamt of a day when sorrow would over come the physical pain when memories would hurt more then scars how do you tell when your healed from something you cant see? there's no escaping a memory there's no quick fix, no band aid all there is is the fact that you did nothing to stop it and the fact you got to live with the memory until you become someone else's memory. and fade away into time © 2013 StephLAuthor's Note
