Between Now & Tomorrow

Between Now & Tomorrow

A Poem by Seductively Sentimental

Faster than my heart forces blood through my veins,

my thoughts race in play

like rambunctious, little boys -

Dashing up hills.

Shrill screams of joy fill the vast cloudy spaces

between now and tomorrow.

What once was has had its time.

A new day breaks

flooding yesterday's fears,

drowning old sorrows,

unveiling new years.

Silence is too quiet.

Stillness too sound.

I'm itching to move, to run, to jump!

My face cannot be rid of its smile.

Excitement resides between now and tomorrow
