My Father's Face

My Father's Face

A Poem by StephanieElizabeth

I inherited my father's face, I think.
But my mother's eyes.
And mouth.
Which sounds odd, I know.
They're the shape of my father's

but the colour of my mother's.
And my mouth is hers.
But younger;
Pinker.
Has seen less smoking;

has seen less wine.
