To thine own self be true

To thine own self be true

A Poem by Steph K
"

To the hearts that remained glued, not broken.

"

To thine own self be true

Be kind, be rotten, be shrewd.

Be patient, be wrong, be silent

Never hinder, life calls.

I’m sorry through it all

Friends lost, Relationships torn

Ripped at the seams

No thread can combine

Some thoughts you thought divine

Leave you, plightless mind.

Be kind.

Use that cheesy line

Now, because the simple words

I’ll be fine.

Your streams of thought take us to the mirror... looking in to see who we really are... standing up to face the world. We can only hope in the end to be fine... yes. You've recovered quite well from writer's block!

I find comfort in telling myself that I will be fine........I think it is a great way to be optimistic. Some run around yelling the sky is falling when it hasn't moved an inch. Great poem.
