Remember me? I know you do Because I terribly miss you too Look, you see Your bed next to me, Food, mood, cigarette soot Shelf filled with four-inched boots I was new and scared Quite possibly, impaired You held me up I cleaned your cups. You. Lazy friend Crazy friend! You left some soup In the pan. I remember it too My birthday you Bought me flowers, cake: cake filled with choc Me, that girl you mock With your own smile She picked your socks Some pile that was! It reminded me of us Pile, laundry, dirt! But without you, I would not be me. Because you held me up You showed me how I wrote this poem you knew I would I remember when I turned the knob My new life Your name I could not pronounce. Your Russian roots Suka. Called me that I was confused and then I knew. I knew. The final chapter of this life Suka, you too! Part of me, who I am; going to be Will always see you, remember you. Because, Ira.
