Every Reason

I did everything I could to fight for what I thought we had. But then some things just aren't meant to happen. Just like the two of us.

I had every reason not to fall for you

I knew it would be a big risk to take

But then I never saw right through

That you had no promises to make

I had every reason not to fall for you

People warned me I'd just get hurt

But then I chose to believe in you

And never saw the pain that lurked 

I had every reason not to fall for you

I knew better than to believe the lies

But then I wanted to know what was true

Oblivious to the distance in your eyes

Now the tears won't flow, my eyes are still dry

But I'm screaming under the rain

I know I've got every reason to cry

But my heart refuses to acknowledge the pain

And no you should regret. We live, we love, we learn. We always hurt the ones we love etc, aren't popular sayings for no reason. We have to make mistakes in order to learn. Some things burn for eternity, others burn fierce but less long. It is how we adapt and become better at being who we truly are.
If we can learn from them along the way, we are always in the process of becoming a better person.

That's why I don't regret falling for him because through that heartbreak, I learned something from life, that sometimes things don't work out the way we want it, that the best thing to do is to make the best out of the situation. Whoa! Sometimes when we feel the love we are willing to take all the risks. We don't care what other people will say, what matters is the fact that you are in love and willing to give whatever it takes to make it work.
