Love’s Thread

How fragile the precious wisp of love

between us,

that binds, embraces, compels

lingering still.

The unseen thread that holds fast

in defiance

when likely seams are frayed away

and split wide.

Hidden deep in old forgotten bouquets

of love tokens,

a new soft kiss petal not yet unfurled,

clings sleepily;

but hush leave her be in innocence

to slumber,

for if she finds warmth within us

she may bloom.

In her resplendent sensual beauty

we would rise,

ecstatic emotions would flower within us

once again;

thus in leaving her to quiet, sweet repose

she cannot wilt,

she will forever hold our secret.

keeping love alive

Sometimes flowers wilt when they do not have the tender care to nourish them....but give them some attention, and they will flourish again....and we, as humans need the same attention, care and tender love as do the flowers and if we do not receive, we wilt, we sleep, we rest, waiting for that love that will replenish our souls and our bodies....a beautiful love tryst Stella.

I believe we create threads. My child, my grandchildren are where my mind and thoughts wander and worry for them. In a kind love. The thread can last forever. But dear friend. A thread can be cut and forgotten. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.
