IF

IF

A Poem by Stefano Ianiro

If the moment we’re in can end our song,

Then a moment with you will do the same.

If the words you said were wrong all along,

Then it is better I forget your name.

If the emptiness you call home moves on,

Then I will reside there with an open heart.

If, when falling; the darkness is withdrawn,

Then tears will show my forever depart.

If the clouds pile up; too strong to hold,

Then my heaven with you may live again.

If my heart would beat and never grow old,

Then into your arms is where I’ll descend.
