Nightmares of YouA Poem by Stefano IaniroI can envision you inside this mercury filled trance Calming and controllably you cast a glance To my recognition, This dream is finally complete If I wandered, Synchronized to your words Arrays of pink and blue will wrap around us two Like injections of love and controversy Someone will be there to take you away from me I won’t let them leave with you and I, Cause our veins can’t take any more suffering With an overdose of lust excessively poured over us We can believe anything thats said, But not meant Things that have significance, And things that have bled Still in a world of our own, The time is impending Moving swiftly, To give us no chance at all To share who we are, who we’ll be, and who we seek, If I can just unfreeze and finally get to speak I could tell you everything I feel during my time with you, But I was a blink to late on this dream complete They took you away without leaving a direction or name, As I stood alone embracing your attenuating image My vision turns black and white, I don’t want to lose you The last light in my illusion adjourns, bestowing a scare I have to be brave and open my eyes, killing this nightmare © 2010 Stefano Ianiro |
