This old recurring dream keeps me staring into thin air
Time and time again, It’s woken me up without any luck
Is there only one life or do I choose between two
An enchanting reality of love or one with no you
I’ve grasped a couple breaths to return to my sleep
Hoping night in and night out to have the same dream
I know it doesn’t prove anything or changes real life
But a mental image of you can leave me content
So as my head falls to the pillow, my heart raises high
Deep inside my body I have pulled another dream of you
Although you don’t notice me when I am calling out
I will give up for a moment to feel what it’s like without you
Which in time I’ll realize, It’s not about how lucky I am
Or how I can be the last thing you think about before dreaming
It’s about the lasting impression I’ve left on your heart
Your mind will fool you many times, But love won’t
So when you fall asleep and your mind is a daze
Think with your heart and follow its maze
This old recurring dream keeps me staring into thin air
Time and time again,It’s woken me up without any luck
Every night I stand at the end of the maze, waiting
If you can make your way to the end, Then your heart has awoken
