on my way home after school

on my way home after school

A Poem by Steeven

there was a bantering, a battery of dialogue,
a puzzle of sentence fragments and poor syntax
I couldn't solve.
i discovered when i arrived,
that it was spoken code-of disgruntled wives.

naively
i squeezed between
inhalexhale
of their mystical punctuation

...About how ALL men are a******s.

that one statement had the polar sincerity
of a suicide love letter.
contained generations of gender animosity,
spilt over brim and wrenched air from my lungs,
dimmed my eyes-illumination yet relit.

naively
i claimed
no
affiliation
with conversing rectums
who are the catalyst of
all
conundrums

...Maybe not. But YOUwill
Become one.

my maturing mind couldn't deny satisfaction
and pursued further questions.

...Because You Are
your
Father's
son.

i knelt.

my laces suddenly loosened.

slyly slid my heart into my socks.

off the scalding asphalt before it charred or bruised.

...Don't worry. Every woman knows this.just-try to be less of
one.

naively
i loved, but never
completely.
thirty, almost one,
unmarried
celibate

chose the road closest to achievable victory

...don't worry.
i'm father
to no one.

~ brilliant stuff... the problem with us liberals is that we think the chatter applies to us... when it doesn't... ~ we are non-judgmental but too afraid to label judgmental people as being judgmental... we are not discerning enough to recognize uniqueness within and out there... ~ that's why exceptional people shouldn't try and blend with the 'crowd' and when trump supporters say that progressive people are too 'elitist', we should turn around and say something like, "na... we're too infradig" and leave them to sulk about how we used an uncommon word... :p
