A Poem by Steeven

There is no pity

Neither penny

Of sympathy-

Empathy drained

From me like embryonic

Fluid from my

Mother.

Give them your apology

For you- my dirty

Denims originally

$90, but I know a guy…

Choke on remorse

Reconsider the discourse

On humanity

You pine to deliver me

As you remember

A second home for summer-

Thought never

The clever neighbor

     “whose house here we slumber?”

Not the boatmen here with me

Nor women from my grocery-

They’re closer

To you than you’d figure,

Try mr. ___

Next door with

The blue beamer.

The lot of you

Eschew a lot of us

as everyone does the flu,

so expect no pity

not even silent laments

for those unaccustomed to candle light

panic without the fizzle of filament-

:: it's difficult for me to say much when i am overwhelmed by brilliance in poetic expression... and intensity of emotion...

:: i don't think that "empathy" could be "drained" from you... but i know that feeling...
