randy rose

randy rose

A Poem by Steeven
"

mandolin song

"

oh, randy rose

look twice, your

thorns have grown

too full for my fingers

i suppose

you would know

for petals plucked

and lips tucked

much

tighter than

sleeping toddler.

oh, randy rose

alone

you're not sole wanderer

for this bird has flown

migratorily meandering

other gardens left unsown

the thickets

and crickets

joyious

noise of your rose

is the song

this bird only knows.

~ hmmm... "this bird" is definitely a bard... :P ~ ~ very mellifluous work with very interesting wordplay... especially "plucked and tucked" and "thickets and crickets"... and "noise of your rose" is a fascinating thought... and so is "gardens left unsown"... some very intriguing thought-processing in progress i'd say...
