If I didn’t scratch as much as an unkempt record

If I didn’t scratch as much as an unkempt record

A Poem by Steeven

Curtains,

far too long,

Covered air conditioning unit

Madonna lingering

Far passed courtesy

Laminated on the TV. screen

Index writing better poetry

Allowed her victory

For once I rode the carousel

Of your navel…

            Sunrise had arrived

To unprepared lovers

Forgetting t-shirts

Securing alibies

Post-poning

Good-bye

The way the sun shone

Illuminated everything

God left his gold throne

To retrieve his Ray-Bans

Wish I would have waited

On brighten terrace, as friend asked

, and not gone home to evil allies

Who played familiar songs

so i c(w)ould sing along

cause they lacked my love

of myself and you

(see title)

If I didn’t lie as easily

As a ream of parchment

awaiting graffiti

I’d still be yoursun

Not another leo,

Another cat clawing

At the door

Where milk served sweeter than

Any gospel sung of before…

But a scratched record

Has least one song

You could listen to more

?

~ if there is love, then there is love... acknowledged or not... that's all that matters... it sings songs... it brings more love... it guards shores from waves... and days from a daze... the technicalities are just technicalities... the logistics can always be worked out... two souls in love cannot lose out to circa 2012 doubts... there's more to life than clinical assessments of cynical assumptions... or so i think... may love prevail...
